"Mohsin, Mohsin, Mohsin," a soft fond smile danced across the sleeping man's face as his favorite voice echoed throughout his room. He'd missed her all day, through shooting and even more when he'd come home without her. His parents and brother had stayed out of his way and let him collapse in his room the minute he got back, knowing that a Shivangi-less Mohsin was an unhappy and irritable Mohsin. But he was also so proud of her, proud of her for trying something new, for venturing out in something more unknown and spreading her wings.
"Baby utho na," Shivangi whined and he felt a weight (barely anything if he was honest) press on top of him as his face was littered by her feather kisses. And sure he was awake but if kisses is what he was going to continue to get to wake up, then he was going to pretend to sleep a little bit more just for more of them.
"Mujhe pata hai ki you're awake. Zyada natak mat karo," she said finally attempting to get up, but Mohsin snaked his arms around her and pulled her back in. She squealed, her smile brightening up his entire world, as he positioned them so he was floating above her.
"Pura din mujhse door thi ab phir se door bhagne koshish kar rahi ho. Not fair Ms. Joshi," he said with a smirk, lightly tickling her waist.
"Mr. Khan, meri naam Mrs. Khan hai," she said reaching her head to kiss his cheek.
He gaped at her boldness in awe and she took advantage of that moment to turn both of them so it was her on top of him, "ab jaldi utho, ammi kuch bana rahi hai aur mujhe bhook lagi hai."
With that Shivangi got off of him and sashayed into the living room, leaving behind a flustered and fond Mohsin who spent a couple of minutes thinking about how lucky he was to have her, before finally getting up.

When Mohsin finally traipsed into the living room, his Ammi and Shivangi were engrossed in a conversation. Shivangi was talking animatedly and Ammi was smiling at her with a fond look that mirrored the one Moshin knew was always on his face. It was Ammi who saw him first, beckoning him to sit with Shivangi. No sooner had he sat on the sofa, Shivangi had curled herself on his lap. Looking left and right to see if anyone was there, she pressed a surprising but short-lived kiss on his lips making him blush.
"I missed you," she whispered.
"I missed you too. Shoot kaisa tha?"
"Bohot pyara shoot hua hai Teddy. Sab bohot acche the and they treated me so well you know. Aur Nikhil sir ki awaaz toh mujhe pata hi tha ki khoobsurat hai par live sunne ka maza hi kuch aur hai," she continued on talking about her co-actor, the director and then transition into talking about the crew and the staff. Because of course she would. That was just how Shivangi was. Her and Mohsin had both always been quick to praise everyone within a ten mile radius of their work, giving credit to anyone who was present.
"And the concept of the video was so beautiful," Shivangi gushed and Mohsin couldn't help but just stare at his girl as she gesticulated about how amazing everything had been. His arms tightened around her waist as she burrowed herself further into his arms. Her passion shone through her words, her dedication was embedded in her tone. And he loved that about her, loved the way she was just so happy. And he was beyond proud of her. Shivangi had been offered music videos before but had always declined them, both prioritising YRKKH as well as waiting for the perfect song and then "Aadatein" had come and they'd both known that this was the song. Because the song, with it's wistful lyrics and romantic melody, was so them and their story and there had been no choice of not doing it.
"Par tumhare bina na bohot ajeeb laga. Matlab voh bhi accha that par he wasn't you na." Shivangi said finally, a pout coming onto her features. She looked so adorable, so innocent (his favorite look on her), that he couldn't help but laugh at that, enhancing the pout on her face and making her whine, "Mohsinnnn." And of course that made him laugh a little bit more.
"Mera baccha," he shook his head fondly, booping her nose before pressing a kiss to it. And when her pout only lessened a little, he pressed another one and another one and another one until Shivangi was a giggling mess and he was feathering her face with little kisses.
"Aankhon mein hai jo roshni meri hai chhupi, tum hi ho wahi," he sang softly to her. She shied away a little, looking down, but the smile on her face was telling.
"Honthon pe aaye jo hasi har lamhe ki khushi hum hi ho wahi," she sang back to him, her eyes still focusing downwards.
"Aadatein, aadatein, yeh nayi aadatein. Tum jo aaye ho, laaye ho dil mein rahatein," he tilted her chin up so their eyes were connected again.
"Hi," she said softly.
"Marry me," he said spontaneously, because he had never been more sure than he was in this ordinary moment with both of them curled in each other and in the most normal of setting that this, her in his arms talking about whatever made her happy, was what he wanted for the rest of his life, "marry me. Be my Mrs. Mohsin Khan. Maybe not today, or tomorrow but someday. Because this is what I want Shivi. You and me on a couch just talking about our day and laughing. Mujhe bas itna hi chahiye Shivi. Hamesha and forever just hum dono. Be mine."
There was a beat before the brightest smile came across Shivangi's face, "Yeh proposal tha tumhara? Jo ladki adha ghanta pehle hi khudko Mrs. Khan bula rahi thi, usse yeh puchna zaroori nahi hai. Pagal, I've always been yours."
