The night the lights went out
There's a thinderstorm raging about.
I was so surprised I almost jumped to shout
But I told my heart to be stout.
Mother was in the kithen fixing dinner.
On the table,doing her homework was my sister.
Father was working on his computer.
Our dog was palying with my younger brother.
I was hoping to stay up late
And watch endless episode of "Jack,the Pirate".
But alas,it was not my fate
