Bloody painters pov.

I heard a slight knock at my door, interrupting my painting session. It was late, well actually, it was early. I took a quick peek at my phone, checking the time. Yep early, 02:07am to be exact. Signing, I place down my paint brush and pallette and trudge to the wooden door. Opening the door, it revealed my best friend. Puppeteer.
Recently though, I'd been growing feeling to the older male. I don't know why.

Anyway, he stared down at me.

" oh you're actually awake?!" He said, slightly shocked.

" yes...may I ask why you are here? Especially at this time." I asked. I was fiddling with my hands, he was in his pyjamas. Well, I assumed they were his pyjamas. He was wearing baggy sweat pants, with no shirt. My face was heated, lucky I was wearing my mask.

Back on topic, he looked at me,confused. I signed.

"oh i was just wondering if you were awake? and...well, if you liked anyone here?" He questioned, scratching the back of his neck with his right hand.

"I'm awake because I was finishing something then going to head to bed. And I guess I like a lot people here. They're pretty nice" I answered simply enough.

"I meant do you have crush?" Puppeteer looked nervous almost embarrassed. My cheeks heated, I bet if you took of my mask,you could mistake me for a tomato.

"Oh I can't tell you that. I don't have the confidence to tell them." I replied, rubbing my arm. He looked at me confused.

" but you can tell me, right?" He looked upset.

"I told you I can't tell them" I smiled  even though I knew he couldn't see it. Puppeteer looked heartbroken as I closed my door.
I heard footsteps run downstairs. I sighed and decided to get ready for bed.

The image of pup's heartbroken face didn't leave my mind. Should I have said something else? Should I have told him I liked him?
