According to normal people new experiences are good. Apparently we learn from them and they help us grow. "All new experiences have something to help us in the future." my mom would always say. Yeah all of them except for school.

New schools always suck.

I mean the possibilities of being embarrassed are endless. Walking into the wrong class, getting in late, getting lost. It's like school was designed to make you unpopular.

So here I am, standing in front of my first college class after moving to California so my mom could get a teaching job.

"Class we have a new student. Please welcome Harrison Trent." My new teacher, Miss Lincoln, announced to the classroom. Most teachers didn't announce your presence to the entire class, I guess Miss Lincoln just wanted to embarrass me.

"Hiya Harry!" a blonde haired boy called from the front, "I'm Emmet!"

"Hannah." said the girl next to him.

"Evan."

"Jamie."

"Max."

"Serena!"

The names kept coming till it came to a girl at the back. She had long blonde hair and piercing hazel eyes. She had her ear buds in but she understood it was her turn.

"Miss Winchester if you please." The teacher prompted. The blonde gave her a sarcastic smile just as the bell rang. Yeah I know getting to my first day at lunch was probably the worst idea but I had over slept.

Chairs made scuffing noises as students gathered their things and left for lunch. I soon joined them after getting the full on greeting package from the teacher.

Emmet waved me over to a crammed bench. "Here let me introduce you to a few people." Emmet said and scanned the crowded cafeteria.

"That there is Jackson, bit of a loner but real friendly. Then there's Susan, Lillian, Will, and Emma." He went through half the room pointing them out and giving them nicknames.

"Who was that girl? The one from Lincoln's class she didn't say her name." I asked removing an orange from my tray.

An odd smile appeared on Emmets face. "That," Emmet answered nodding his head over to her. "Was Miss Madison Winchester. She just got in but rumors are going around she's leaving soon. All the guys are crushing on her."

I looked over to her and questioned, "Why?" My friends eyes widened as he took a bite from his sandwich.

"Why!?" He asked with his mouth full. "Look at her. Not only is she gorgeous but she's top in all classes."

"Hmm." I grunted and returned to lunch.

Finally the only thing that remained was the bus ride home and I had luckily found an empty seat. I had to take the city bus because my mum was still working. It wasn't till I thought I was the last one on the bus that I realized the Winchester girl was sitting across from me. Her legs were spread on the chair so she could lay down, her hair covering her face. Even though my view was obstructed, I could tell she had her ear buds in and her eyes were closed. I stared at her for a moment, examining her perfectly fallen hair and thin frame and decided yes- she was beautiful.

The driver suddenly slammed on the brakes causing Madison's eyes to fly open. I could've sworn I saw her eyes flash gold. She looked to me and blinked, the gold vanishing. I looked from her to the front where the driver was screaming something out the window and waving his tiny fist.

"What the hell Dean." I heard her swear as she grabbed her back pack and flew to the front. She groaned something else before commanding the bus driver to open the doors. When the driver refused (typical) The Winchester opened the door herself and slipped outside.
