I was very happy when I got the message about there being a vacancy in the dorm. I had been forced to rent a room elsewhere and I had been staying for a couple of months in a house quite far from campus. The landlady was a middle-aged woman who was very annoyed every time I refused to jump into bed with her. I had not told her that I was gay, I just said that I was not interested. Therefore, I was really pleased to leave her and I actually moved out when she had gone somewhere, just leaving a note saying goodbye. I lost two weeks rent doing so, but in my opinion it was worth it.

The dorm was a long two-storey building with one end close to a steep hill and with a small lake on one side and a nice park on the other. The girls were staying downstairs and the guys upstairs. I had heard that security was very strict and there was no possibility for a guy to get into the girls' dorm and equally impossible to get a girl upstairs. That did not bother me at all as I was not at all interested in girls and I really looked forward to be surrounded by hunks.

The staircase was in the middle of the building and when I came up, I was not sure if my room was to the left or to the right. When I stood there checking my papers, a door opened and a tall guy came out. Yes, he was really tall, at least 6'9'', and he was just gorgeous. I have always had a soft spot for black guys and this one had absolutely pitch-black skin. Most African-Americans are actually not black but different shades of brown but there was nothing American about this guy, he was 100% African. As a nice contrast everything he was wearing was white, he was obviously going for a spin as he was wearing a biker's helmet, tight, quite short shorts and a tight t-shirt. The shorts showed outlines of something big and I had great difficulties not to stare at the bulge when he approached me and said:

- You look lost, can I help you?

- Yes, I cannot figure out where my room is.

- Well, if you are new you are probably in one of the rooms over there at the end. People try to move away from them when there is a vacancy in another room.

- Why is that? Is there something wrong with the rooms?

- No, they are actually somewhat larger than the other rooms but they are quite dark and there is not much of a view as the only thing you see outside is the hillside. However, one of them has been occupied by two Chinese guys for a long time and they seem not to mind about it. I'm Tutsi by the way and welcome to the dorm.

- Tootsie? You must be at least a foot taller than Dustin Hoffman?

- Not Tootsie, Tutsi. My folks fled Rwanda during the civil war and we are of the Tutsi people. I actually have an African first name but people here cannot pronounce it so they call me Tutsi and I kind of like it as it reminds me of my origin although I have never visited Rwanda myself. We Tutsis are one of the tallest people in the world and yes, I am on the basketball team. But now I must away, see you later.

I watched him as he went down the stairs and admired his beautiful butt and hoped that my room-mate would be something at least half as handsome as Tutsi.

But no, when I entered the room, I first thought that there was nobody there but then a guy appeared from behind a pile of books and other stuff. He was short, chubby and wearing nothing but enormous white briefs, something I consider the least sexy underwear in the world. We for some reason seemed to dislike each other from the second we met, he did not say much and almost immediately disappeared back behind his pile of stuff.

During that first week I did not see much of him, when he came in, he stripped down to these horrible whities and spent the rest of the evening in his lair. He did not seem to have any social life except for his computer. I also started stripping down to my undies and, as I use G-strings, it seemed to annoy him even more.
