The reader is depressed. 

The reader cuts.

The reader tries to kill themselves.

Max (or some other character) stops them just in time.

Max is a dick to the "depressed reader"

Seriously, not to be...insensitive but..this has been reused so many times, it's fuckin tiring...

Come on...I know it'd be interesting to see what the characters would do, but this has been redone so many times..makes you worry about the population.
