I was playing truth or dare with some of my closest friends when I was dared to kiss my best friend on the lips. I felt kind of weird hearing this seeing as we're both 16 year old boys and I'm holding my girlfriend's hand who is also practically sitting on me at this point.

Since the only way to refuse to do a dare or not say a truth is to back out and I wanna stay in the game, I politely push my girlfriend, Kath(Kathleen), off me then proceeded to lean towards my friend Tommy (Thompson) who looks about as weirded out about this as I feel. I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek and then sat back in my usual spot.

Leon(Leonard) looks at me and smiles then says

"Oh Nellie, I said lips not cheek. You silly little hetero questioning child." I look at him in anger and say

"one, my name is Nelson, and two, I, umm... Didn't hear that part."

"Oh Nellie," Tommy says, "if you want, I'll lean in for the kiss and you can just accept it, I don't mind. We are pretty close friends after all. What's one kiss gonna do?"

I agreed and let him kiss me because I'm too much of a pussy to do it myself, especially in front of the girlfriend. Although, the way he did it was odd. He looked at Leo and smiled as they both nodded, then he looked at me and seductively crawled towards me, pushing Kath out of the way in the process, then crawling over to the point where he was technically on top of me. He then leaned in really close, whispered

"This one is especially for you, don't forget it and don't forget me." into my ear, then kissed me on the lips. The kiss was passionate, somewhat, oddly romantic, and about 5 seconds long at most but it for some reason felt way longer then that. After he finally kissed me, he backed away and let Kath take his place again.

We continued the stupidly fun game for about an hour or two after that then we all said our goodbyes and went home. While we were playing though, Tommy was constantly glaring at me, but it wasn't a mad glare, it was a sad or upset, with a bit of seductivity? And when we said our goodbyes, Tommy hugged the boys and kissed the girls on their cheeks as usual but when he came to me he did both and said

"I'll miss you the most." He sounded a bit sad.

It was sorta weird that he was saying that stuff to me, was he going somewhere? Where was he going? When was he coming back? Why would he be going away? Wouldn't he tell us where he was going? I had so many questions and zero answers.

I walked home with Kath and my dad made us dinner as usual. Nothing was said at the dinner table which was odd seeing as nobody ever shuts up in this house. Me and Kath hangout for a few more hours watching a movie and making out during certain scenes, then her mom came to pick her up as per usual. As soon as she left I ran downstairs to my bedroom to grab one of my notebooks to write down what Tommy said.

"This one is especially for you, don't forget it and don't forget me." And "I'll miss you the most."

I thought about it for a while then ended up passing out from giving myself a headache from thinking about it too hard.

For the next few days all of my friends slowly "had to leave" for some reason and nobody told anyone why. About 3 days passed and I got a phone call from Kath's father.

"I'm sorry to inform you but Kathleen was driving home from her night school last night and got in a car accident. Some drunk guy hit her car real bad. She's in the hospital and she's not responding to anything or anyone. The doctors said she's slipped into a coma and they don't know when she'll be able to wake from it."

I instantly rushed to the hospital to go see Kath because I just had a heart attack and a panic attack at the same time on that phone call.

I get to the hospital and ask for her room number and the floor she's on.
