~.~

School so far was painfully boring.

So far Arden and I had Art, Math, English and right now we were in science.

Boring.

But basically one lesson left so yay!

After science was Lunch then we had Gym, sigh

“Pstt, Kaya!” I heard someone whisper from behind me.

I turned around and saw Karen Bailey, the girl that replaced Lucy as third in the Top Three.

“Oh-er, Hi Ka-ren?” I said questioningly. My safety goggles uncomfortably shifting on my face while I furrowed my eyebrows.

We had a lab in the first day back. Bloody Brilliant (Oh Em Ghee I sound so British K )

“Who’s your hunk of a lab partner?” she grinned and leaned over her counter her boobs poking out of her shirt and lab coat. I looked down at them in distaste before meeting her eyes again.

“Arden Matthews, Pleasure to meet you… girl with boobs showing from lab coat.” He glanced at them and looked back up, smiled pleasantly and held out his hand for her to shake.

I couldn’t help it I burst out laughing right in front of Karen. Like full on bawling on the floor at her opened mouth shocked face. My god she looked horrible when she was surprised.

Karen flushed red, huffed then turned back to her lab partner with her arms crossed over her chest.

“Girls need to stop being so desperate.” Arden sighed and started tinkering with the chemicals on our own counter.

“Please just, don’t start a explosion-“ Spoke too late

BOOM!

“You did not mix the red chemical with the Green one! Arden! Seriously!” I rolled my eyes and wiped some soot of my face and my book before turning to glare at him. I saw out of the corner of my eye that a few neighboring students had been caught in the explosion and were looking pretty peeved at Arden

He looked sheepish and shrugged.

“Sorry” he mouthed to me before Mrs. Nichols came bustling towards us with paper towels.

“oh dear, oh dear. No one is hurt are they?” she fluttered around prodding us with her sharp nails.

I winced before claiming for everyone was caught in the midst of the explosion that we were in fact all right.

And suddenly the bell rang and everyone, almost simultaneously disappeared.

In about a total of ten second only Mrs. Nichols, Arden and I were left in the room.

“Well, I’m just going to go….” Mrs. Nichols awkwardly pointed her thumbs to the door and got the hell away.

“To lunch we go!” I grabbed my books and made my way to our lockers and stuffed my books inside before walking over to Arden.

He was leaning against his own locker tapping away on his phone.

I just stood in front of him and waited.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

“Are you done yet, I’m hungry?” I finally got tired of him tapping away on his phone, what was he even doing?

“Yup” He slid his phone in is pocket and strides his way to the cafeteria, leaving me in his dust.

It was not fair he had longer legs than I did; of course I was going to be slower.

As we entered the café, no one had turn to look at us like I was accustomed to. Nope they continued on with their day with out taking a glance at me or Arden.

We grabbed a our trays and quickly collected our food before Arden made his way to the back of the Café to a empty table that wasn’t too close to the bins or the Top Three.

We ate lunch in silence. Not once did I look up or glance at him. I put all my concentration on my lunch, slowly clearing my plate from its mess. Soon all was left was a few bones and some scraps of rice.

Leaning back in his chair, Arden was observing the Top Three table with his head cocked to the right. And soon I joined him… Discretely so I didn’t look like a stalker.

I watched Lucy all over Tanner, and it hurt. He could so easily replace 3 years with me, for my best friend. He gave up my love for him for a hook up on my locker. He cut off our relationship for a bimbo.

I didn’t notice that I had let a few tears loose until Arden wiped one away. And as I turned to look at him he looked down at our hands.

“It’ll be okay. If he gave you up so easily for something less than perfection, then he obviously has mental problems” He soothed me before looking up and smiling at me.

“Thanks.” I smiled back.

I hoped you liked it, i am vigorously working on the next one :D should be up in a few days
