Addy could smell the turkey roasting and rolled out of her bed. She heard voices coming from the kitchen and wandered down to investigate all the laughter.
She smiled when she entered the kitchen and saw Sebastian helping Lexie read a cook book. Ollie was sitting in his high chair struggling to get free.
"Morning mommy." Lexie said once she noticed her standing in the doorway. Addy entered in and kissed each of her kids then turned to Sebastian. He smiled and gave her a big kiss.
"Ewwwww." Lexie said, covering her eyes, making Sebastian and Addy laugh.
"What can I do to help?" She asked, grabbing an apron off the counter.
"You can start on this famous pumpkin pie I keep hearing about. What time are Lily and Felix coming?"
"Around three. They're bring my dad with them."
"Good, lots of time." He made himself busy with his cooking.
A few hours later people started to show up, first Sebastian's mom, then Lily and her family then the friends they invited.
Addy sat on the couch and watched her family all mingle, smiling like a fool the whole time. She noticed Sebastian doing the same thing from across the room. When he caught her eye, he winked.
Sebastian's elderly aunt came and sat next to her and started pestering Addy about the wedding plans. Addy wasn't sure what to say, wedding plans had been put on the back burner. Sebastian had been traveling for work and Addy wanted him to have an input into the planning.
"Dinner is served!" Sebastian announced, giving Addy an escape route. She grabbed Ollie and rushed to the kitchen. Sebastian was helping Lexie get her plate together, then he came up to her.
"Here babe. Lemme take him, you go eat." He traded her Lexie's plate for Ollie. Seeing him being a good dad made her heart flutter every time. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek and got herself a plate, then made one up for Sebastian.
It was well after dinner and everyone had left. Addy and Sebastian were curled up on the couch while the kids played on the ground. Sebastian absentmindedly played with her hair while she laid against his chest, her engagement ring glimmering as it caught the light.
"Should we start planning our wedding? We've been engaged almost a year and we haven't even thought about it."
"I think I'd rather focus our energy on having another one." He said, motioning to the kids playing on the ground.
She smiled, "one more, then we'll start planning."
"At least one more, maybe two? I want this house full." He said, making her laugh.
