~Chapter 8~
Katyusha absolutely was taken by the girl within the first few minutes. Anya seemed to like Ukraine as well. Ivan felt relieved he didn't have to worry about anything bad between the two. After bath time they decided to see if the outfits that Katyusha brought fit the girl. Ivan was more or less sitting on a chair he kept handy in the hallway for certain situations... Mainly to grab right away to help hide from his little sister. (Not to hurt her, but slow her down.) He shuddered at the thought of Belarus. She was pretty with her dark blue eyes, silver hair, purple bow, and matching victorian outfit... with knives...
He heard a squeal of an excited Anya before the door revealing her in a new outfit. Consisting of: A white long sleeved dress, with pink roses etched in the collar area, on the end of the sleaves, and at the end of the dress, the dress was made to keep her warm in the cold with an extra layer of cloth, black tights with matching black boots. "Do you like my new outfit?" Anya asked smiling as she twirled making the skirt of the dress lift a little her knees showing.
Ivan smiled at her. "Da, it is very cute on you.~" He clapped as she did another twirl trying to go on her tippy toes like a ballet dancer. Anya giggled as her audience of the two nations clapped. Ukraine put the shirt Ivan had her wearing into his laundry hamper.
"So!" Katyusha chirped. "What would you two like to do? We can go out and have fun..."
"Actually, We are missing out of the meeting and we should probably hurry to the conference." Ivan interrupted. 'Uh oh. I don't think we can bring Anya there. Germany would blow a gasket.' Slightly amused with the thought.
"But little brother, we can't bring the little one" patting Anya's head. Anya looked happy with the affection her bright grey blue eyes twinkling with happiness.
I thought about it a little more before deciding Germany can just suck it up. "She'll be coming with us. I don't want to leave her alone." Anya brightened at the thought of going somewhere. She enjoyed exploring. In other words snooping...
"Okaaay." Ukraine her blue eyes showing concern for the child getting lost, other countries freaking her out, and the chaos her presence is bound to cause. The three got on their coats from where they hung on the rack, near the door leading into the garage. Ivan was driving of course, with his sister in the passenger side seat. Anya settled into the back seat right behind Katyusha as she clapped her now gloved hands in delight.
"Where are we going again Mr. Ivan?"
"To a very important meeting that hopefully will not go to chaos because of that Americ... Alfred." Reffering to the blonde she met the other day as if he were a contagious disease. 'He doesn't seem to like him though he seems nice.' Anya thought feeling if she could really trust the man who spoke a different language other than her own. Ivan paid more attention to the road striking the everynow and then conversation with Katyusha. He barely used his radio for he preferred it to be quiet.
Anya began humming a song she once knew by heart, but the words barely came to her now. She continued humming until the part she only remembered came, "Once upon a December.~"
*At The World Conference!*
The trio walked into the building and down the wooden floor to the conference room. Meanwhile, Anya had a habit of looking everywhere in interest as if seeing everything for the first time. For her, it was. Ivan had to hold her hand, so she wouldn't get lost trying to explore. She pouted at him, but allowed the notion by gripping his hand softly back blushing. Katyusha laughed behind her fist trying to hold how she thought the scene was so adorable to her. Her baby brother a father figure made her proud and have warm fuzzies in her heart. They opened the door and of course there was the chaos.
