*Jack's POV*

Lying in bed. It was my favorite place. That was the time when I wasn't losing my hearing and my muscles weren't hurting and my callouses on my fingers weren't pounded with pain. I was at peace.

Don't get me wrong, I love performing. I love my fans, I love my friends...the list can go on. But there's something about sleeping next to the one you love...hearing their little breaths as their body heat warmed you under the covers...wait...where's...

"(Y/N)?" I sat up in my bed, looking around in the dark. I often wake up in the middle of the night...but this time, I wasn't put back to sleep by my lover's gentle snores. "Shit."

I bolted out of bed, throwing on whatever clothes I could find. I called Alex, Rian, and Zack only to be let down.

"Hello?" I heard her mother's simple voice on the other line. It sounded groggy and annoyed.

"Mrs. (Y/L/N)! Is (Y/N) there?" I panicked, hoping to hear good news.

"Thank God you called." She sounded relieved and more awake.

"So she's there?" I was in the car and traveling all over town towards the places of the people I called.

"Yes, she's been in the living room and hyperventilating for an hour." Her mother sounded disappointed in me.

"I'm on my way." I nearly felt like I was having a heart attack.

"Don't bother." Her mother growled and hung up. Damn.

I got there and burst through the door anyways. Her father was barely trying to stop me. I saw (Y/N) crying on her footrest as her mother comforted her. I got an evil look.

"(Y/N), why'd you leave?" My heart was thumping as I knelt in front of her. She shook her head, eyes red.

"I couldn't. It's too stressful." Her whisper was stuttered from harsh breathing.

"I know, baby. Living together is hard...the first year is always the hardest." I mumbled to her.

"But you're leaving soon!" Her voice grew louder. "It's different when your boyfriend's famous." I wanted to roll my eyes so bad.

"You know I can drop everything in a heartbeat to be with you. I love you to death!" I informed her. She gave me a small, sorrowful, crooked smile.

"Jack." She whimpered.

"Let's go home. I'm going to cuddle you all night and everything's going to be okay. If I don't answer while I'm gone...you have Zack, Rian, Alex, and your family... You're not alone, baby." I wiped the tears from her cheek.

(Y/N) nodded at me and we were speedily driving back home. I should've known that something would happen. Ever since we first moved in together she's been stressed. It's hard...I'm even stressing out. I can't leave the toilet seat up anymore...

We peacefully drifted back to sleep, her gentle chest moving up and down in my arms. She could always go to sleep. It would be a stressful year while I leave for Europe. I just hope she'll be okay.

The next evening...I was packing the last of my things and sticking them in the corner of the bedroom. I was pushing the last suitcase against the wall as I heard gentle sobbing behind me.

"(Y/N)?" I stood up and turned around. "Why you crying?" I walked over to her and put my arms around her. The warmth she gave my chest was the ultimate feeling.

"You're leaving." I couldn't stop her from seeing the terrible thing that is packing.

"I know, I know." I tried to hush her. "Come on, let's go to bed." I only had one more week left with her before I'd be gone for a year...to Europe.

I stretched out in bed, my muscles sore from being curled up around my beautiful girl. I noticed I had more space than usual...

"(Y/N)?!" The panic set in again. "Shit, (Y/N)!" I sprinted out of bed and began my search around the house.

"Jack, Jack, shut up!" (Y/N) was only wearing her panties and one of my t-shirts.

"I thought you were gone again." I put a hand to my chest.

"I was going to the bathroom. Chill." She sounded different.

"You know what?" I started, having the best idea.

"What?" She put her hands on her hips.

"Come to Europe with me." I smiled at her. I swear I saw her knees shaking.

"You mean?" Her jaw was dropping as I nodded slowly. "Yes, oh my gosh, yes."

"Better start packing, beautiful." I winked at her.

It didn't take her long to start packing. I knew she'd be excited. Ever since we got together she's done nothing but go on and on about one day traveling to Europe...specifically France.

*(Y/N)'s POV*

I've been so stressed lately. I can't help it. I've been alone most of my life and now...I live with someone...and that someone is in love with me...but that someone is always gone. Not this time...I'll be soaking in romance in Europe, my wildest dream...

I was on a plane across the ocean. I had to go through Spain and Portugal before heading up to France. I was more than excited to explore the world. Jack wouldn't stop squeezing my hand the whole plane ride.

"I can't believe we're doing this." I smiled up at him after we landed in the airport. Something seemed off about him. He just smiled down at me.

The second week of touring we made it to France. It was one of the prettiest places I've seen though I haven't seen much yet in my young life.

For some reason, Jack forced me to put my nicest clothes on and meet me at the tower. I had to take a taxi by myself and it was nerve-wracking traveling around a country I didn't know my way around.

"There she is." Jack stood in front of me, wearing a suit. It was so hot to see him dress up since he rarely does.

"Hey." I smiled at him and we held hands, walking towards the tower. "Why so fancy?"

"You'll see." He chuckled lowly.

"I never wanna' leave." I was already falling in love with the country.

We reached the top of the tower. It was such an intricate structure with so much to do. When you reached the top there was infinite space to see. It was evening, dark and lit up. It was quiet and cold. Jack held me close as we looked out into the distance.

"Why'd you bring me here?" I wondered. I knew it was too good to be true.

"What? I can't take my amazing girlfriend out on a date?"  Jack sarcastically answered.

"Of course...but you took me all the way to Europe..." I mumbled.

"I know. Those mornings where you were missing made me realize how much I wanted to wake up to you every morning. I was a wreck."

"I'm sorry I have the power to destroy you." I giggled.

"Uh huh." I could hear him rolling his eyes. "Listen." He pulled me away from him.

"What?" I was slightly scared. I've been more than stressed lately.

"You're my favorite person. My best friend. I want to wake up to you every day...every day." He knelt down. This cannot be happening. "Oh it's happening." It was as if he read my mind.

"Jack." I whimpered, covering my face to hide the happiest tears.

"(Y/N), my beautiful girl, will you marry me?" He popped open a velvet box that he grabbed from his pocket. I swear that bulge in his pocket wasn't there before.

"Yes. Holy shit, yes." I gasped and held out my hand. He easily slid the ring on.

"You don't realize how confused and excited the guys are gonna' be." He winked at me as I fell into his chest.

"I love you so much." I whimpered, barely audible.

"I love you, too. Don't ever leave again." Jack commanded.

"Never." I whispered, snuggling into his chest further.
