A Sick Day

No One's POV

It was a free period as Akko was with her group of friends as she was trying to use a spell that would turn a cactus into a beautiful rose. Diana was holding a spell book as she was telling Akko how the spell is said and reminded her one more time, "If you use the spell wrong and happen to hit a person, they will become extremely ill." "Yeah, I got it." "Ok, so soyama cactus inside isma beauty rose." (First thing that came to my head.) "Ok."

Akko took a deep breathe until she brought her wand up to start waving it a little, "Sayamu cactus inside usma beauty rose." Diana looked up from her book, "Wait, what did you just say?" Some magic shot from Akko's wand as it went towards the cactus, to miss. The door opened to show Donny and Aron come through with (Y/N) in front of them, "Hey Akko I made that thing you-"

Half of the magic hit (Y/N) as the other half ricocheted off of the metal of the gadget he was holding to bounce back and hit Diana. Diana did a little sneeze as she closed the book, "Great." (Y/N) sneezed as well, "What just happened?" Diana simply grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist as she led him to their dorm room, "We're in for a ride."

A Few Hours Later

(Y/N) was laying on the couch looking dead as his hair was a mess and felt deathly ill. Diana was on her bed as she was in the exact same condition. Their roommates weren't staying with them due to the illness being majorly contagious. Earlier that day Akko gave them some soup as she slid it though the mail slot as it helped a little bit. (Y/N) got up as he slowly made his way to the kitchen to warm up some soup. With all of the strength that he could muster up, he managed to get the two cans open, put them in a bowl, and heat them up.

After the microwave beeped he waited a minute for them to cool and set them down onto the table. He then slowly walked into Diana's room to see her blanket off of her with her not wearing any pants as to stay cold. (Y/N) walked over to her to shake her up, too not have her get up as she just felt to weak. In response (Y/N) got all of his strength and picked her up to take her to the table and set her down in a chair, and pushed her up to the table.

The entire day went like this as the two did their best to function and did what they needed to do to get better. Through the day the two would help each other with doing what they needed to do as it was just a bad day. The first day they would have a fever, the second day it would go away, but he replaced with a bad cold, and the third day they would get better, the fourth day they would be mostly fine, and then the fifth day they would be let out of quarantine.

The next day came as they now had a bad cold which meant they could function a bit better, but not by much. That afternoon the two sat on the couch under a blanket as they tried to watch tv to forget about the suffering they were experiencing. The two were on strong medicine prescribed by the nurse making them a bit woozy. The two had a brilliant idea as they were out of it to talk about random things as they recorded it on a tape recorder.

The next day they were feeling a bit better as they once again ate soup as they watched tv while sitting on the couch. They watched a few shows together as they would occasionally talk about the show that was on about it if was good, bad, or hilariously horrible. The two just hung out together as they just tried to get through the day.

On the fourth day though, something interesting happened. Diana was sitting on the couch once again, until she was interrupted by (Y/N) walking up to her with a bowl, "More soup, yay." "Nope, it's spicy chili. It usually helps clear sinuses, helps your throat, and tastes good." Diana gladly took the bowl, "Oh yay, something besides soup." The two started eating as it was the best thing they've ever had, compared to the last three days where they could only have SOUP!

(Y/N) was glad to eat something else, but he was also glad to see Diana happy. Diana enjoyed every bite as the food melted in her mouth. When they finished eating the two debated wether or not it they should watch tv again, until Diana spotted the tape recorder on the table, "Did we record ourselves yesterday?" "I think we did, I can't remember doing that though." "Do you wanna listen to what we said?" "It's better than tv."

(Y/N) set the recorder on the table in front of them as voices were heard. Diana's voice was heard, "There is something that I want you to make for me." "What is it?" "I used to read fairy tales of witches and how there were dragons." "Do you want me to make you a dragon?" "I would love it if you did." After an hour the two laughed quite a bit from the weird things that they said yesterday.

It was near the end when the two heard (Y/N) seem to fall asleep having (Y/N) nearly turn the recorder off, until they heard Diana, "You look so cute when your sleeping." (Y/N) stopped to have Diana jump forward, "Turn it off, turn it off!" (Y/N) held her back as he held the recorder up as past Diana seemed to talk more and more about (Y/N) until, "I wonder if your lips are soft." Past Diana then seemed to fall asleep as Diana then managed to hit the recorder out of (Y/N)'s hand to have it break on the floor.

The recorder stayed on the floor as the room was silent as Diana stood in front of (Y/N) a foot away as her face was red, as she was looking down, "I have ruined everything haven't I?" "Well this does change things, but-" "I was never allowed to date because of my family, so after you were so nice to me I didn't know how to express those feelings and I tried to hide them because we had a good friendship-" Diana seemed to talk faster and faster until she was surrounded by warmth.

She finally looked up to realize that (Y/N) was hugging her as he made her stop talking, "You didn't let me finish my sentence. This does change things, but in a good way." Diana hugged him back gently, "W-what do you mean?" (Y/N) backed up a little, while still hugging her, "Do you wanna go check out the new restaurant opening tomorrow in town?" Diana smiled as she nodded, "Yes."
