Garrett and Olivia were released from the hospital two days later, and both were doing incredibly well. Garrett was held from the moment they got home from the hospital until the moment Olivia and Trevor had to pull him from Ember's arm so he could get used to his bassinet at night. It was clear that his siblings loved him and were going to have a hard time going to school the next morning.
"I never expected to be able to love four tiny humans as much as I love our children," Trevor spoke, as he climbed into bed beside his wife. Olivia smiled tiredly as she slipped her arms around her husband's waist as he wrapped his arms around her body and rubbed her back gently.
"Trevor, I'm glad that we got over all of our fights because Garrett needs us both. And he needs all three of his sisters." Olivia smiled, as she rested her head against his shoulder.
"I'm glad too... but now I'm kinda wondering about what is going to come next." Trevor breathed. Olivia leaned back a bit and looked at him with confusion on her face.
"What do you mean?"
"Like are you going to continue working now that Garrett is here?" Trevor questioned. Olivia shrugged as she laid her head back down.
"I don't know, Trev. Like I want to be here with our baby and be home when our girls get home... but then again I love my job. It has been hard to work for the last 40 weeks, but that happens when you are pregnant. But that didn't change my love for my job." Olivia replied.
"Liv, what about expanding our family more?"
"Dude, I just had a baby. I don't want to think about having more right now." Olivia grumbled a bit before hearing as Garrett let out a whimper.
"I'm going to grab him and then head downstairs. I think that maybe it would be a good idea if I slept down there tonight." Trevor spoke, as he slipped away from his wife and went to lift Garrett from the bassinet.
"And leave me to do all of the diaper changes and feeds all alone?! That is not fucking happening, you asshole." Olivia spat, before pushing herself up and moving to adjust her shirt.
"Liv-"
"No. Just give me our baby and then go grab a few diapers and the box of wipes. We are doing this together."

One Year Later
It had been harder than expected to truly start their new blended life together. But after the first few stressful weeks passed then it was like they had fully become a family. Ember continued to spend days with her mother, but she had her most fun at home with her siblings and parents.
Olivia ended up quitting her job to focus solely on her family. She was always there for her children, which was extremely nice for all of them. Adalee was 13, Ember was going on 14, and Ainsley was 9, while Garrett was an incredibly hyper year old who was really keeping his mother on her toes during the day.
"Mom!" Ember yelled as she came sprinting into the backyard. Olivia was sitting crossed legged in the grass with Garrett standing in front of her as he stared at the butterfly that was on her finger.
"Yes, sweetie?" Olivia asked as she turned her head to look at her step-daughter.
"I'm done with Angie." Ember huffed. Olivia turned to look at her suddenly with wide eyes.
"Huh?"
"She's getting married!" Ember exclaimed. Olivia stood slowly and lifted Garrett up before moving to where Ember was standing.
"We didn't even know that she was with anyone..." Olivia trailed off.
"I didn't either. Until she got me from school today to have our talk... and she just blurted it out. She just told me out of nowhere that she was in love and was getting married. She's moving in with this dude too, and I don't want to stay with a stranger!" Ember exclaimed. Olivia reached out and caressed her hair as Garrett laid his head against her shoulder.
"Ember, you don't have to stay with them if you don't want too. We can come up with a different custody agreement. But I'm going to tell your Dad. Okay?"
"Okay... but what is he going to be able to do?!" Ember whimpered.
"He's a lawyer, Em. He can do a lot more than just being your goofy father." Olivia smiled. She kissed Ember's forehead gently before tugging on her short black hair.
"Mom, why are you a better mother than my biological one?" Ember whispered.
"I strive to be the best mother possible because growing up... I didn't have a good one. I was adopted by my aunt and uncle, and even if I called them Mom and Dad and they called me their youngest daughter, we all knew that they don't love me like they loved their other kids. So I want you to know that I love you so freaking much, even if I didn't get to carry you inside of me... but I feel the same love and connection that I have with my biological kids as I do with you."

Olivia went upstairs late that night and found her husband lying in bed with Garrett sleeping against his chest. He looked over at his wife and smiled as she slipped her robe off.
"How was your day?" He asked since they really didn't have a lot of time to talk about their days during dinner since all three girls could talk a mile a minute.
"It was okay. Garrett and I spent a lot of time outside playing. It is good for him and it's good for me too. I'm feeling a lot better lately than I have in a while." Olivia spoke, as she hung her robe up before moving to the bed. She climbed in beside her husband before kissing him a few times before moving her hand to caress Garrett's light brown hair.
"Are we going to be able to keep this for secret for much longer?" Trevor asked as he ran he smiled at his wife.
"We need to keep it for a bit longer, Trev. Especially since Angie is getting married."
"What?" Trevor asked.
"Em told me today when she got home from seeing Angie... she's getting married and is moving in with her soon to be new husband. Ember doesn't want to be with her anymore because she doesn't want to live with a stranger."
"I cannot believe her!" Trevor exclaimed, before quickly moving Garrett to Olivia and leaving the room as quickly as he could.
