HERE'S AN EARLY CHAPTER IN HONOR OF 10K READS! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

GET YOUR TISSUES READY!

"OLE OLE OLE It's finally the day! How can you all be so calm?" Mercy yelled coming into the dinning hall for breakfast.

Her father rolled his eyes putting his newspaper down so he could get a sip of his coffee. He couldn't help the smile appearing on his face, though.

Mr. Tiffin loved his kids. Maybe he wasn't always there because of work but he did everything he could so he could love them the best way possible.

I looked at Mercy who had just sat next to me. Her face was painted in blue and orange.

"Wait, Halloween is in October, right? Isn't it February right now?" I asked.

Hero chewed his cereal looking at me.

"It's the big game today" he said.

"What game?" I asked.

"The game between the New York Mets and The Philadelphia Phillies. Sis, I need to educate you some day" Mercy said.

"Baseball?" I asked and she nodded.

"The NY Mets are definitely gonna win and I'm going to be there to witness it" Mercy squeeled.

"Dream big, sister. The phillies are about to take it this year" Hero challenged her.

She snorted. "The Mets are going to kick all of your asses" Mercy continued.

"50 bucks" Hero said.

"Get ready to lose you little bitch" Mercy said and Hero and her did a handshake.

Martha and Angela came in bringing some croissants. Martha sighed. "It's that time of the year again" she sat on her chair.

"Hey, guys why don't you take Josephine with you?" My step-father suggested.

"Hell no" Hero said at the same time Mercy said "Hell yeah"

"Josephine doesn't need to be stared at by creepy old men. Besides she doesn't even like baseball" Hero said.

"Bro, I'm a girl too. We don't need your muscles to handle different situations" Mercy defended me.

"Yeah, but you've been there millions of times. Jo doesn't know how to handle herself"

I raised my eyebrows.

"Dude, I lived my whole like in a wooden house with no locks. One time I even punched a drunk guy that tried to get into. I'm sure your creppy old baseball men will be a cup of tea" I said taking a sip of my cup of tea.

"Then it's settled. You're coming!" Mercy said.

The same time the door bell rang and Angela went to open the door.

"I would love to go, but actually today is the twins' birthday. I'm planning on visiting them" I said. At the same time Theo came into the kitchen.

"Good morning Tiffin family" he smiled at everyone. Everyone did the same exept from Mercy.

"Wait, today is Max's birthday?" She asked me.

"Yeah" I answered confused. "And Bella's..."

"Right"

Theo looked at Mercy for a moment who wasn't looking at him at all.

"Bro, are you ready for today's match. It's going to be epic!" He said to Hero. The chatted for a while until Mercy spoke up.
