Anriella's POV
"Anna, you're getting a sl-"
"No." I say cutting off my dad. "I don't want a slave! How many times have I told you! It's cruel to enslave someone!How come Alistar's not getting one?!"
My dad stands up slamming his hands onto the table. Crap.. He's pissed.. I'm normally a daddy's girl, but not on this topic. My mother puts her hand over his. They lock eyes and have a silent conversation. His face softens and he takes a deep breath.
"I phrased this wrong. He's your guardian. You need to be protected." He noticeable squeezes my mother's hand. "He's already in your room anyway. Just don't fight with us, please. You'll see why soon."
My mom looks at me with her violet eyes. I'm so glad I have mostly her eyes. Their a pretty violet. "Honey, just please trust us on this. You'll be glad." They both smile for an unknown reason. I'm scared.. Sort of.. I sigh in defeat and head to my room. I have my own guardian.. I really do.. Maybe this'll be a good thing..
My name is Anriella Hope LeMare. I am 18 years old and a waitress as a local restaurant. I'm saving up to travel around the world since I finished high school. In a month I'm heading to Tokyo. I love the Japanese culture! I have auburn hair and light blue eyes with lavendar streaks in them. My skin is a milky white and my lips are a dark pink. My mom is a human/moon and my dad is a vampire/darkness.. So what does that make me? I'm a half human half vampire able to use fire. It fits with my temper though.. Just don't get me mad.. I have one friend and her name is Snow.. Well her real name is Hailey Macy Long. She hates being called Hail or Hails so she wants people to call her Snow. Why? It beats me. She has icy blue eyes, chocolate brown hair with natural blonde highlights,and lightly tanned skin. She's overly hyper every dayand a cheerleader for the town team. She's awesome expect for one thing..
She's IN LOVE with my twin brother, Alistar. It's really wierd hearing a girl gush about my brother.. Like GUSH.. She has been in love with him ever since she set eyes on him though.. But my brother ignores her completely.. Sigh..
I open my door to see the hottest guy I've ever seen in my enitre life. He has shaggy black hair that covers his chocolate brown eyes with yellow flecks. You can tell he's muscular and has an eight pack under his tight white t-shirt. He looks up at me with wide eyes and scrambles to his feet then bows.
"Mistress." He says. God his voice is so sexy.. It's drop dead goregous.. Wait! I shouldn't be thinking these things.. He's my protector..
"My name is Anriella. Call me Anriella." I say to him. "You're not a slave. Just my protector.. You're my guardian and can even be my friend.." Or more than friends. Curse you brain!
He smiles showing his perfect white teeth. My heart does a double beat.. I really hope this works out.. He lays down on my bed and stretches making his shirt ride up to expose his abs. I feel my cheeks blush. He smiles at me."Thank you." He says. I nod and walk over to my bed and jump into it. I land right next to him. I can feel his body heat.. Hmm... I have an urge to reach out and touch him, but ignore it. I turn to my side to face him. Inotice a scar on the right side of his neck. It's a silver, thin scar.
"How'd you get that?" I ask him. I trace it and a fire runs through my bones making me shiver, I look at him in shock. His brow-yellow eyes are full of adoration.
That's what that face on my mother was about.. They didn't..
"You're my bloodmate.." He says quietly. My eyes grow wide.
I sit up quickly. He does also. "Mom! Dad!" I yell. They appear in my room in seconds. I glare at them. Their lips drop into a small 'o' at the same time. I can't believe they did this?! They set me up with him! Not that I mind...
"We did this for your sake, honey.. Just please.." My mom says. I sigh.. Stupid mom and her innocentness... Considering she's my mom..
"Fine. You're lucky he's my soumate or you'd be in trouble..." I say. They nod and walk away closing the door. I sigh and lay back on my bed. I look up at him.. I really should find out his name.. He moves so he's hovering over me. His legs are just barely brushing mine and his hands are right on my hair ends. His eyes are locked with mine. My heart beats against my chest wildly. Is he going to kiss me?
He picks up his hand and strokes my cheek softly sending fire throughout me. I close my eyes and place my hand over his. I let out a small sigh in happiness. I finally found my soulmate.. Or in his case bloodmate.. Now he's going to want to protect me even more.. I open my eyes again to feel his lips pressed against my neck. A sudder runs through me and my hands press against his muscular chest. He shudders and presses another kiss to my neck. He inhales my scent as I do with his.. My throat starts burning.. Arghh.. At a bad time..
"Get.. off.." I say through my teeth. He pulls away and looks down at me. My fangs poke at my lip and my stomach cherns. "You have to.. get off.. I don't want to bite you.." He doesn't move. I glare at him and push at his chest. He grabs my hands. My eyes keep darting to the vein in his neck.. If he doesn't move..
"I said move!" I yell at him. I start breathing heavily and I growl at him. His eyes turn into pain.
"Drink from me then.." He says quietly.
I'm not drinking form him....
I won't..
I might kill him..
And I don't want to hurt my soulmate.. I still can't believe I found him..
