Chapter 5: My hero, again

I thought I'd give asia her space and go shoot some hoop with tha bros. "Cole, where u been man?" mike asked. I bounced the ball a couple times, "Occupied" I said wit a lil smirk. "Damn nigga how many hoes you got now?" for some reason that question made me a lil mad. "Nada, this one is nothing like that man". Mike looked shocked, "damn who is she?". I didnt say nothin. "hm...well it betta not be that lil girl you was tryna Holla at the other day. "She not even that young," I said. "Dude, she like 16, messin wit that you gone end up in jail". "Whatever man, I didn't even say I was talkin to her but Ima bounce tho". I had to get away from all that negativity, I split.

Later that night..

Asia p.o.v.

I was in my room getting ready to see rico. I had just straightened my hair and was thinking about dabbing on make up. I wore a soft lavendar dress under a jean jacket and high heels. I was so confused, did he really want to change for me? He seemed different, I mean, he was back in school. I didnt want another heart break either. I was also nervous, I didnt know what to expect. A romantic dinner, a walk on the beach, I couldnt wait. I got a text message from rico telling me to come out. When I got downstairs I saw him leaning on a big black mercades with his music bumping. "damn you look good af" he said while getting in the car. I stood there waiting for him to get my door "Whats wrong witchu, you look scared" he said. I took a deep breath"Nothing" I said as I got in the car. After driving a bit he pulled up at a dark park. "Why are we here?" I said looking confused. Rico started laughing which creeped me out, "Don't act like you don't know wassup" he said while undoing his pants. I folded my arms and stared him up and down like he was nuts and said "I..Don't" with an attitude. "Come here" he leaned over and tried to kiss me, but I pushed him away. "No just stop it rico, go do that with your hoes"

He sat back looking mad, started texting someone, then started driving again.

He stayed quiet the entire

ride until we pulled up at a party.

I was glad, I needed to dance, blow of some steam. "I'll be back ima go upstairs for a bit" said Rico. "You're mad right?"

"Nope, I'm good." He said and walked away. I saw my friends Mimi and Zoey "heyyy girl" they both said, "its about time you turn up" said Mimi. "I know right, let's go dance". "Y'all go ahead ima go get a drink" said zoey.

After a while I got tired of dancing and just wanted to go home,I went looking for Rico upstairs.

When I opened the door I caught Rico getting neck from Zoey!

My mouth was open in shock.

"Zoey how could you?!"

"Asia wait!" She said. I ran down the stairs. I ran out the building crying. People ran up stairs to see what was going on.

I sat at the bus stop crying, I felt so stupid.

Why would I give him another chance anyway. But I mean..what girl wouldn't want things to work out with her first love?

Just then a familiar car pulled up. The window rolled down, it was J! I've never been so happy to see a stranger. "You!" I said stupidly. He chuckled a bit,"You" he said back to me. He got out the car and sat next to me on the bench. "Who made you cry?" He asked me. "Its nothing" I said with a smile. "Well I'm here now"

I felt so bad for not protecting Asia. I should've stayed on her, but I got caught up in my own shit. She wouldn't tell me what happened but I wasnt gonna make her. "You wanna come home wit me?" I asked her. She nodded yes. I reached over to take her jacket off but she jumped. "It's okay baby" I'm not gona hurt you, do you trust me?" I asked, "yeah" she responded. "I'm just tryna' keep you warm", I pulled my hoodie off and helped her put it on. I loved seeing her in my hoodie. It was like she was mine, my property, in a good way. "C'mon lets get out of the cold" I said as I walked her to the car.

She ended up fallin' asleep during the drive, I was glad cause to me, that meant she was comfortable. It was a 30 minute drive, and I was just stuck wit' my thoughts. I knew what I was doing wasn't appropiate. being with a young girl at night. So I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't try anything that wasnt legal. I just hoped I could keep that promise.
