when it was almost dark out, I was laying on my bed but wasn't that too upset like before. I was starting to get a little better but I was still missing Shawn. When I was just jotting down some lyrics in my notebook, my mom knocked on the door and I made a face as if someone interrupted me. My mom opened the door and I looked at her. I said no words to her and continued what I was doing.

Mom: "Can we talk?"

It took me 10 minutes to say something because I was still upset with her but I sighed and accepted for her to talk to me. 

Mom: "I know I haven't been a great mother lately, and i'm sorry for the way I acted with you and Shawn."

Alessia: "And i'm sorry for making you so stressed out."

Mom: "You don't have to apologize for making me mad, i'm the only one who should be apologizing right now. You have every right to spend time with Shawn anytime you want. And I wasn't supporting you with your relationship with Shawn. I guess I was just so worried about you."

Alessia: "Why were you worried?"

Mom: "Because you're growing up so fast, you're about to step into your future. And i'm scared that I won't always be with you when you see your future."

Alessia: "Mom, don't say that. You'll always be with me no matter what. I know we won't be together forever but no matter where you are, you'll always be here with me. I won't ever forget about you."

We gave each other a hug. She pulled out my phone and handed it to me.

Mom: "And you can have this back."

I smiled and took my phone. As soon as I took it, I got a message from Shawn. I smiled to myself.

Mom: "What?"

Alessia: "Shawn messaged me."

Mom: "Are you gonna answer?"

Alessia: "I can answer?"

Mom: "Go ahead, you're allowed."

I smiled and opened Shawn's message.

Shawn's message: Hey beautiful! Been thinking about you! I was wondering if you want to go on a romantic date with me this Friday! We could stop by a restaurant and then maybe stop by the sunset! Let me know if you're available! Miss you! P.S. I have something to ask you! Love you!

As I smiled while reading Shawn's message, I blushed really hard and started to type back to him.

My message: Sure! Yeah! I would love to! What time??"

Shawn's message: "Does 6:30 sound good?

My message: Sure!

Shawn's message: Great!

Mom: "What did he ask you?"

Alessia: "He asked me out."

Mom: "YESS THE MOMENT IS FINALLY HERE!"

Alessia: "What moment?"

Mom: "Oh, nothing, nothing..."

My mom looked as if she almost told me what she was hiding from me.  

Alessia: "Are you hiding something from me?"

Mom: "Oh no, not at all."

Alessia: "Ok if you say so."

My mom left my room. I was actually really curious to know what was going on. What could Shawn be planning to do?"
