Lost and Found ( Aqualad x OC love story)

Caught

I don't think anyone could have found a better place to be. With my hair pulled back in a silver braid, the wind whipped around me, and the sounds of the city filled the air. I love heights. I love the feeling of being uplifted above the city skyline and having the view of the ocean behind me. When not being treated badly for being an orphan, being chased by the Young Justice team, and questioning my humanity, this was perfection. Unfortunately, every issue I just listed is a problem about seventy percent of the time. Which means that I only have about thirty percent of happiness in my life. 

Hang on. Let me explain the whole "I am being chased by the Young Justice League issue." The Justice League has stated that they are going to work to get all of the orphans off of the streets, and then rehabilitate them back into society. I happen to love the freedom I possess, so I have been a bit of a problem for them. Okay, that's a vast understatement. I drive them up a wall whenever they're going after me. 

I am quick and silent on my feet, always have been. I can swim wickedly fast as well. I tend to make them run into each other more than they run into me. And tonight is one of those nights, apparently.

"Hey."

I turned to see Nightwing in a defensive stance. I smiled. I almost look forward to our banters now. 

"Do you guys have a crush on me?"I chortled.

He grinned, "Maybe, maybe not."

I bent my knees slightly, and that is when Kid Flash made an appearance. 

"You know I always have, Babe."

I pursed my lips, "Don't call me Babe. '"

"We will refrain from hurting you if you come quietly." Aqualad spoke up from behind me.

I bent down further, and leaped over both KF and Nightwing. Then bolted for the sea. As fast as KF and Aqualad were in the water, I was faster. 

"Don't let her get to the cliff! Mega'an!''" Nightwing shouted.

Idiots, I wasn't heading for the cliff.
I made a feint and beelined for the city. I knew how to hide there so well, that Batman would be jealous. 

"Is she trying to make me angry?"' KF exclaimed.

"Aww, I thought I was your Baby."I laughed before feinting again, and sliding into an alley.

I could feel them behind me, and could hear KF trying to run ahead to cut me off. I leapt up onto the nearest building and kept running. 

I heard a sound telling me that Nightwing had followed me onto the roof.

"Come on, at least tell me your name." He panted.

"Seraphina." I called out.

"Thanks. But your mine now." He chuckled.

What did he mean by that? I saw a sliver of light in the corner of my eye. Aqualad had sent out a tentacle of water to wrap around me. Shit.

"What the hell?""I yelled before ducking and rolling away to avoid it. 

I was going to try and get up again, but Nightwing was already on me. He straddled my belly, and pulled out a set of cuffs. Oh hell no! I started kicking and swinging my arms, but he was too strong. He had me in cuffs within the next thirty seconds. When he pulled me up, I gave him a hard kick to the side. He groaned and fell to the ground. Aqualad came up behind me, and held my arms. I tried to use my legs again, but KF wrapped his arms around my thighs.
And that's when Batman showed up.' He placed a mask against my nose and mouth. Before I could really process anything, everything went black. Well, fuck.
