Chapter 2: Wounded Feet
I woke up when the alarm clock rang so loud. Its loud sound made my head go hot so I turned it off without opening my eyes.
Just please, I am still sleepy.
Even with eyes closed, alam kong nasa pintuan silang dalawa ni Ate Shanty because I can feel their presence.
"Sinong nag-set ng alarm ko?" I asked. 'Tsaka nagmulat only to see my sisters pushing each other.
"And how did you know that I have training today?" They looked at each other before they avoided each other.
"For your information...
They sat beside me on the bed.
"I hate you both po!" bulong ko at saka pumihit sa kabilang direksyon.
"Ate!"I groaned before sitting, but they won't just stop.
We are this chaotic. We are the three daughters of Dra. Marjorie Alonte-Cortez and Mr. Santiago "Sanjo" Cortez III. Ate Sharlene Gale is the eldest, next is Ate Shantelle Yorenz, and I am the youngest.
Most of the time, Ate Sharly is in the middle of serious and funny. She can handle everything with care, she can prioritize everything without getting out of concentration. But be careful of handling her, she's the most fragile of us. She's caring and gorgeous. I'm closer with her compared to Ate Shanty.
Ate Shanty is talented. She can sing, she can dance, she can act, she can play instruments, she can paint, she can cook. She's versatile! Compared to Ate Sharly, Ate Shanty's naughty. She's a happy-go-lucky person. But she knows what to do first and what she can do later. She's kind too, strict and as pretty as an angel. The only reason why I am not that close with her is because she has her own friends, which are Ate Eycee, Ate Marra and Ate Xyle.
Kami and "Tres Maria's" ng mga Cortez. And even if we're always fighting with each other, we know to ourselves that we only have each other in any and every desperate situation that life may bring us into.
