Chapter 21: Hope

Natsu's POV

Everything happened so fast. Minerva became a pile of ashes. The place where (y/n) was being held was now empty. All that was left was the dried blood from (y/n) due to whatever Minerva did to her. Everyone was quiet. I fell on my knees as my entire body lightly trembled, " No.."

"Minerva... s-she killed her.." Sting managed to say, his voice shaken.

Those words... No. it can't be true. Why do these things always happen to me? Why can't I ever just have a peaceful life without any person trying to hurt the people I care about? It's not fair.

"No! She can't be dead! There's no possible way Minerva was powerful enough to disintegrate (y/n)! (Y/n) is 5 times stronger than she is! It's just not possible!" Rogue tried to reassure. Everyone turned to him quickly, but even he sounded unsure.

" You're right! She panicked when Natsu did his fire roar. She could have messed up the spell and teleported her somewhere." Sting sounded a little more hopeful, giving me hope too.

I stood up quickly, facing Sting and Rogue, "Where could she have teleported her?!"

" Well, if she was trying to do a different spell and she accidentally teleported her, then she could have ended up anywhere, but she couldn't have sent her far. We should all split up and search every part of Magnolia."

"I'm going alone. If she is near here then I'll be able to pick up her scent." I said after sprinting out of the cathedral, leaving everyone behind, '(Y/n) can't be dead. I'll find her, no matter what.'

Erza's Pov

None of us were able to find any hint as to where (Y/n) could be. I hoped that Minerva did teleport her because if she killed her then everyone just had false hope on a possibility, which is worse than accepting the truth. It'd especially hurt Natsu and Summer the most if we don't find her. Summer was currently with Sting and Rogue since we all thought it's be best for her to be with people she's most comfortable with.

It was the middle of the night so we all agreed to continue looking for her tomorrow. Well, all of us except Natsu. He hasn't come back to the guild and Happy told us that he hasn't stopped by their cottage.

I was currently in Fairytail with Mirajane and Master Makarov, " I'm going to go look for Natsu. It's past midnight and I know he's too stubborn to eat or sleep until he's found (y/n). Which in all honesty, I don't think she's still alive."

" Poor Natsu. Today was their first date too." Mirajane said with a little frown.

"He finally confessed?" Master Makarov asked, lightly chuckling, "Took him a while. I never thought Natsu would fall in love."

Mirajane nodded, " He told me everything he had planned for her. It was so simple but cute. He and (y/n) just make the cutest couple."

" Too bad the solar eclipse and Minerva had to ruin everything." I sighed, " It's getting too late, I'll find Natsu and take him home." I said
