A black body, with red spots scattered here and there, emerged from the tunnel on the other side of the wall, carrying a child's body without his head. All that remained of the child's face was two violet eyes handing from his neck. Demon had two curly white horns on his skull and had only two fingers on his hands. Apart from this, he looked same as human, just double in size. A car stood waiting for him in a luminous alley, shivering in this icy air, covered in snow. The white light hanging above the wall guarded this tunnel from any intruders from the other side. He put the body in back of his car along with thirty others and got inside the car. As he turned his car on, the car started reaching towards the sky, barely able to withhold this cold current of the storm.
He flew the car to its pre-determined destination and snow that was covering the car fell off, revealing the rotten metal covering the car. Car smashed through the stormy clouds and landed on the roof of a flying restaurant. Restaurant was fighting with this frigid weather as it maintained its position in air. He got out of the car and a demon, wearing an apron, came out of a door to meet him.
"How are you doing, Chef? I got a surprise for you." He said.
"Surprise? Better be a good one. Last ten years of this freezing weather has numbed my brain." Chef said. Chef went to the back of the car to see his raw food. He continued, "Wow. A kid with a violet eye. It's time to get rich."
"I want triple for it." He said.
"Triple? That's too much. Double. That's all I can do." Chef said.
"Triple or I will go to another restaurant." He replied.
"Okay. Okay. Don't be angry now." Chef agreed reluctantly.
Four demons got out of a yellow cab in front of this restaurant. They looked at this gigantic restaurant covered in yellow color which gave their eyes warmth in this chilly weather. The following slogan with golden words was written on its wall: The best place to eat, The safest place to eat. Four demons: father, mother, son, and daughter.
"How much for the ride?" Father asked to the cab driver.
"Nothing. I understand." Cab driver replied, and he drove off.
Father was only wearing black pants. No shirt or hat or coat or shoes or gloves. Nothing else. Mother was wearing a chapped white coat and a white trouser with black patches repaired all over it, nothing else. Son covered his pink shirt in a yellow jacket. He had black pant and boots on his leg and feet. But the jacket wasn't enough to keep the cold out. Three of them shivered as they stood in line for two hours. They were just like the other demons. Black body with red spots, two curly, white horns and two fingers on their hands.
At last, their turn came, and they went to door to get inside but a guard blocked their path with his hand and stopped them. Their faces resembled someone who will die soon. He must have thought how is this family, who can't pay for their clothes, will pay for the restaurant bill. Maybe they are sad because they will go bankrupt after eating at this restaurant. Then he looked down at the daughter.
The daughter had a white body with green spots adding the beauty of this little demon. Her spiral, blue horns illuminated the environment around her head. Her yellow eyes gave warmth to anyone who looked at her. She was a wearing a golden crown with a red diamond at the center. A blue shirt and a green pants covered her body. Her thick jacket, made from animal leather was protecting her body from shivering unlike the rest of her family who are desperate to go inside to feel the heat of the restaurant. Smile on her face made the guard cry. He realized the situation.
"Sorry, my mistake. You can go." Guard apologized and removed his hand from the door. Four of them entered inside the restaurant. There were 70 tables. A waiter came to guide them towards their table as the customers eating on the other tables looked at them, smiled, and then looked away. They were here to enjoy the delicious meal. They don't want to be sad. Family sat on chairs. Waiter offered menu to the father.
"Water is fine for me. Tap water." He replied without even looking inside the menu. Waiter offered the menu to Mother.
"Same as my husband." She replied. Waiter offered to son.
"Same as my mom." He replied. Then waiter turned to the daughter and said to her, "Let me guess. You want the most expensive and delicious dish with most expensive wine."
"How did you know?" She asked.
"Experience." he answered and went inside the kitchen.
Chef read the order and said, "Never would I have thought the most expensive dish that came today will get ordered today. I guess this is our luckiest day while their saddest day. Well, it is what it is." He grabbed the body of the child with violet eyes and started preparing the meal. After half an hour, the waiter brought the meal and the wine to the family and daughter ate and drank all of it. She offered to share with her family but they declined.
As she finished the meal with the biggest smile on her eyes which gave them water in their mouth, Father paid the zillion dollars for a meal. They went outside the restaurant. Their eyes looked down while daughter's eyes looked up. A red cab came to pick them up. Snow and dust covered its window. But the outside view was still visible. As they sat inside, the driver didn't even ask where to go. The destination was pre-determined.
As they flew above their home, daughter looked outside the window and started scratching her head.
"Where are we going, dad? Our house just passed by." she asked.
"Heaven." Father said.
"Heaven. Wow. You told me so many beautiful things about heaven. Today is the best day of my life." She laughed while others just kept starring forward, too frightened to say anything.
They crossed the tallest mountain in the world. Cold weather gradually became dry, and they finally landed on the ground. The ground was lifeless. Nothing to be seen except some vultures, and parched land and sand which covered the windows of the car, and a cottage. An electromagnetic field covered the sky and ground, preventing them from going forward. An automatic door opened in front of them, revealing an underground tunnel. A baby vulture flew right into the field and got turned into ashes before they can even blink their eyes. This death terrified the daughter, and the smile on her face disappeared.
They went outside the car. "Why are we here?" daughter asked.
"To go to heaven. Do you remember what I said to you?" he replied. Daughter shook her head. "Few people can go to heaven. Only the few lucky ones. And you are one of them but the path to heaven is very harsh. You must travel it with all your courage and only then you can enter the heaven." Father continued.
"You are coming with me, right?" daughter asked.
"I am afraid not. I am not as lucky as you are."
"But I don't wanna go without you. I want to stay with my family."
"You must. We have talked about this. Many times. Didn't we? Don't worry. It will be alright in the end." Father started crying as he hugged his daughter. Mother and son also hugged her. Terrified expression on the daughter's face turned into sadness as river started flowing from her eyes. Driver watched this from a distance. His steady eyes stared at the family. He was used to this.
"Go on now. Go to that door. You are the bravest person I have ever met." Father said.
"No. Please, no. Not again please." Mother screamed as she went to hold his daughter to prevent her from reaching the door.
Father stopped his wife and said, "let her go. For demons, she must go. It is the only way."
Daughter reached the door and looked back to his father and said, "Father, I did it. I am going to the heave..."
Two gigantic white hands with six fingers emerged from the underground tunnel and smashed her face and skull. Blood and pieces of her face and skull spattered in the desert. These hands belonged to an angel. Angel with two beautiful, butterfly wings; big blue eyes; and rosy cheeks. As angel took her inside the tunnel, her mother's scream pierced the electromagnetic field and a robot emerged from the nearby cottage with a mob and a bucket to clean the remaining pieces of skull, and face...
