I opened my eyes slowly, seeing that I am in an unknown room. I didn't get up because I was still dizzy. My head ached and my body felt heavy. I blinked a few times quickly before the door opened. I got up on my elbows to look at who came into the room.
...:-I'm sorry I brought you here by force, but unfortunately I had no choice.
Me:-Who are you ?!
...:-My name is Palnedo and I run the Kafka organization.
Me:-S-sorry ?! You mean---
Palnedo: Yes. At this moment, you are inside the Kafka association.
My eyes widened, not knowing how to react. Seeing that I want to get out of bed, Palnedo came closer to me. I came to the edge of the bed, wanting to get up, but Palnedo motioned me not to.
Palnedo:-Don't worry. I brought you here for a purpose, Miss Director.
Me: -Do you know my identity ?!
Palnedo:-Since we wanted to kidnap you, of course.
Me:-Why?
Palnedo: - Isn't it obvious? We need your power to lead the world!
Me: - Too bad I won't give it to you.
He started laughing. An extremely evil laugh, but at the same time, very loud.
Palnedo:-I was hoping you wouldn't say that.
For a few seconds, the time has stopped. Palnedo stared at me, without saying a word.
In the next second, I felt my breath cut, seeing only black in front of my eyes.
Palnedo: -Oho, slow down Uro! She's no use dead.
The person who appeared next to me grabbed my throat, squeezing me tightly. Hearing Palnedo's words, he grabbed my jaw and turned my head towards him, looking deep into my eyes. For a few good seconds, we were looking at each other, without anyone saying anything, until Palnedo did not agree with what was happening and spoke.
Palnedo:-So...
We both turned our eyes to him.
Palnedo: -... we will need you later. For now, you will work for us, under the service of this gentleman who is in front of you, called Uro.
I looked at him, and he lowered his hand, leaving my face free.
Palnedo:-He is the director of the organization and works under my service. And you, until we need your strength, will work for him. If you don't want to do what he says, then, we will not kill you, but be sure you will suffer greatly.
I looked down, thinking about what I had just become: a servant to the enemy organization.
Palnedo:-As you haven't met yet, I'll let you two talk. And again, if Uro tells me you don't obey, you will suffer.
With that being said, the old man went out of the room, leaving me alone with the director.
Uro:-I'm sorry I hit you back then. I had no choice.
There was a flashback in front of my eyes.
Me:-So you were the one who hit me over the neck...
Little fear could be heard in my voice.
Uro: -Yes, it was me.
I stared at him for a long time. He was standing next to the window of the room, looking outside.
Uro:-This will be your room. It will be guarded at the entrance, so you can't escape. Don't imagine I'll take you easy. I hate the Circus organization. I hate you.
Upon hearing these words, I began to sweat. I felt a huge fear all over my body, my legs and hands were starting to soften.
Uro gave me a look of hatred, and seeing that I was trembling, he headed for the door.
Uro:-It's evening, go to sleep. Tomorrow you will start the work.
He went out, closing the door behind him.
I climbed back into bed, bringing my feet near me, starting to cry.
I regret. I regret everything. I left the Circus organization alone, letting myself be easily stolen. Which meant that I was showing weakness.
I put my hands on my face, trying to stop the tears. But I couldn't. They were flowing like a waterfall that just lost control.
At that moment I was in pain. I hated myself. Because I allowed myself to leave my association.
A little depressing, i know. :(
