Chapter 1: A New Day

*Ringgg* *Ringg*

"Uggh!" she groaned as she stretched across her bed. " I should get up before the Sap comes." The Sap was Mrs. Marie Sappenfield, the head of their group. She was given that nickname because she had a personality like sap. Sweet when it is, but terribly sticky and messy to clean. Annabelle Krystle, the girl, ran to get ready, brushing her hair and teeth. She had to be in the Mess Hall at 9:00 sharp. There was no room for tardiness at work. Plus, the earlier she was the better the case would be that she was assigned to. Otherwise she would be stuck with watching for thieves in the candy store or something stupid like that. She was ready for an exciting adventure.

For 5 years, since she was 9 years old, she had been working at the ATSA. Her parents had died in a car crash when she was four. Since then she had been in foster care until that one day when she had ran away. When she had ran away, she had come upon a man who was running from a woman with a gun. She had realised that he was a bad guy and had stuck her foot out, tripping him. After that, the woman had taken care of her. Her name was Daisy Strawhorn, or for Annabelle just Daisy. After Annabelle had turned nine, Daisy took her to her workplace. She worked at the ATSA - the American Teen Sleuth Agency. Now five years later, Annabelle had taken the roles of a Youtuber, Student, Volunteer at the pet shelter, Daughter of Adam and Kim ( Spies from the American Special Agents),and countless other roles to catch jewelry thieves, gangs of dope, and others. She was a very good sleuth and nothing distracted her when she was on a case. She had trained her mind not to get distracted. She was on a team with Kim Ruzek, Adam Halstead, Jake Roman, Daisy, Hero Jones,And Erin Voight . Erin was 14, Jake was 13, Hero was 15. Kim, Adam, and Daisy were in their 20s and 30s.

As Annabelle headed to the Breakfast Line she spotted the Team at the table arguing loudly over something. She quickly grabbed a glass of cold milk and a croissant plate with peaches and made her way to the table. " Hey Ann!" Said Erin. Erin was more of her sister than a friend. "What's all the commotion about y'all?" Annabelle asked. " Director Scott gave us a odd case. We are supposed to track a group of school shooters who get their job done by hiring teens. They bribe them into thinking that they are getting a half a million dollars but really just kill them off by the end." said Daisy. " Well, how do they kill them? And why do they sign up if they are going to die anyways?" asked Annabelle. " They put a bomb in the gun, after the first 3 shots are fired, the bomb starts its three minute timer. The kid with the gun doesn't know that there is a bomb" answered Adam. " And its not like the contract says "You are going to die at the end." Anna, like duh!" retorted Hero. "Oh , Shut up Hero!" she fired back.

"So, what's the big deal? Why were y'all arguing? She asked. " Well we have to send one of you to a school called Blue River Middle. And we need to make friends with a boy named Arturo Vázquez who is in 6th grade, and a girl named Gigi Atwater , who is in 8th grade. There is another kid who we don't know yet. The gang is called Riverside Pirates and they have recruited Gigi and Arturo as the school shooters. The third person, who we don't know yet, is going to help them. Erin and Annabelle, You two will be sisters from Texas. Erin, you will be Eva Johansen, a 7th grader. Annabelle,you will be Annalise Johansen, an 8th grader. Jake, you will be Zane Johansen, their 6th grader brother. That way you will have an excuse to hang around with each other. Hero, you will be in the van with me and Adam and Kim , you two will be Mrs. Marie Johansen, 45 and Mr. Marc Johansen, 47." said Daisy. " The van, with Hero and I will be parked in a neighborhood nearby." she continued. "We have a house for you already and you will move in tomorrow at 10 am sharp.Start your homework now, then visit your wardrobe for new devices and clothes and then at last visit Dave at the weaponry hall to get your materials. Go on now, see you tomorrow."
