I noticed a lot of changes in Soobin. In just a week of being tutored and a little of 'babysitting' on the side, Soobin improved a lot. I can say that Jin really knows how to handle a child well.

"These are his exams for the past week. I can say that he really excels in Math. His exams may not be a perfect score by now but you can see the drastic improvement." Jin handed me the exams that Soobin took.

I smiled as I look at the scores. "This is great. Thank you."

"Binnie told me that he wants to go to Everland. Why don't you take him there?" he suggested and I hate it when he started to instruct me of what I needed to do.

"So you mean to reward him for doing well in school? Jin, I'm not the type of father who will spoil a child for getting a good grade."

"Mr. Jeon, I did not say that it's a reward. What I am suggesting is for you to spend time with him. Perhaps, this is the best time to hype him up. Letting him know you appreciate his efforts is not spoiling. Whether he gets good grades or not." I don't know why I find his lips pouting adorable. He often does that whenever he's annoyed. "Have you ever think of bringing him to Everland? Or a movie house?"

"We are going to Everland daddy?" Soobin came with the white alpaca stuffed toy Jin gave him. He said the name of that toy is RJ. He looks very ecstatic upon hearing what Jin is suggesting.

Jin looked at me with a grave expression. I wonder why Soobin needs to be out in the wrong timing. He often hears something that he should not be hearing yet.

"No?" Soobin's face quickly becomes doleful. I saw how his fingers gripped on his toy.

"Yes Soobin, we will go to Everland."

Soobin jumps and giggles. It's been a long time I saw him this happy. He gives me a hug before climbing and sitting on my lap. "Thank you, daddy! I really wanted to go there." Soobin leans his head on my chest. I guess Soobin has indeed a lot of improvements. He's starting to get closer to me. Or maybe, to appreciate me.

"Teacher Jinnie will come with us, right?" Soobin's bright smile flashes right in front of me. His eyes have been telling me to say yes. But I don't know how to answer that and I'm pretty sure Jin doesn't like the idea.

"Binnie, that day out is for you to bond with your daddy. I'm sorry but I couldn't come." Jin is a great talker. Something he is very good at. He never raised his voice at Soobin. He's always very calm and tactful.

"But I want you to come. It will not be fun if you will not come with us." Soobin frowned. It's funny how fast he can change his expression.

"Why don't you just spare a little time so you can come?" I suggested and I can sense how much Jin wants to widen his eyes at me. "Soobin will be happier if you can join us."

"Please Teacher Jinnie? You promised to bring me to a movie right? It's okay if you will not bring me there, just come with us to Everland?" Soobin gives Jin a puppy eyes. As if Soobin is about to cry.

Jin doesn't look happy but he still smiles and nods. "Okay. I will."

Soobin jumps from my lap and hugs Jin on the neck. Soobin is so fond of him. He once told me that Jin is his favorite person.

I've never felt this way before. Ever since Ken died, I thought I cannot appreciate happiness anymore. Or maybe I forgot what happiness is all about. But somehow, seeing Soobin this happy really makes me feel something different. I cannot say that it's a fulfillment but nearly there.

"I have to go home now," Jin said to Soobin. "I already prepared your dinner. Eat well, okay?"

"You will not eat here again?" Soobin asked. He's been asking Jin every day for almost two weeks now to eat dinner with us but Jin always declines.
