I went to sleep with two socks on, two very soft, fuzzy, and warm socks. I woke up with no socks and cold feet. How can this be? Stevie must've needed socks more than me.

Mama comes in to braid my hair. I don't like it very much since she pulls it so tight but Mama knows best so I sit still.

"All done. Now go get dressed and come eat breakfast." Mama says.

I do as Mama says and put on my green Lion King sweater and soft grey pants.

"Miss Key is teaching us colors." I say proudly.

Oh, the room is empty.

Stevie must've gone to eat breakfast. I hurry quickly to meet them in the kitchen.

I wonder what kind of cereal we're having today. I hope it's Oreo O's. Mama and Papa won't let us have Oreos for breakfast but they let us have the cereal sometimes.

"Morning sweetie," Papa says. "What would you like?"

I sit at the table right next to him.

"Can I have Oreo O's?"

Papa shakes his head, "Sorry, we don't any but we have Frosted Flakes. How does that sound?"

"Okay." Papa gets me a bowl, the one with Timon and Pumbaa on the inside and pours the cereal and milk. Stevie must've eaten all the Oreo O's.

Mama's making Grandma breakfast and Papa is talking with Grandpa. I finish eating all my cereal and slurp up the milk. The cereal milk is sweet, I love it.

"All done," I tell everyone.

"Okay, now go brush your teeth and then grab your backpack and put on your shoes." Papa says.

I rush to brush my teeth and see Grandpa's toothbrush in the garbage. Oh, no, that's gross. Stevie must've dropped it by accident.

I run to my room and grab my backpack. I go to the front door and put on my shoes. They're the cool ones that light up and have a strap.

"Does anyone know what happened to Grandma's glasses?"

Stevie probably knows so I won't say anything.

I shrug.

Papa likes to walk us into Miss Key's room like the other mamas and papas of the other kids. I see my best friends and wave. They both wave back at us.

"Okay, now Grandma will pick you up from the bus stop at 1. I'll see you at home later. Mom works today too." Papa says.

I nod and kiss Papa goodbye. Stevie's already inside with the other kids. Stevie thinks we're too old for kissing Papa on the cheek.

I go inside too.
