5:58 am. Wednesday, December 1

I open my eyes to see a sleeping Calum Hood lying next to me.  All the memories from last night come flooding back. I get up from the bed carefully, trying not to wake Calum and walk over to his drawer where he keeps my spare clothes for last minute sleepovers when I forget to bring extra clothes. I pick out an outfit and lock myself in the bathroom to get dressed. In there I decide to do some investigating, probably something I shouldn't do inside a teen boys bathroom but yolo. I look around for anything and find a picture of Calum and I when we were younger. We were at summer camp, about 7 years old, arms hung around each others necks facing the lake. I remember right after that picture was taken he pushed me into the water being the little asshole he was. Oh the good old days.

I walk out after about 20 minutes, since my makeup was being a bitch, to find Calum sitting at the edge of his bed all ready in his black skinny jeans which I swear are the same pair he wears everyday.

"Hey Cal, you ready?" I ask, sneaking up behind him and causing him to almost fall off the bed. He nods and stands up walking over to me.

"Yeah, let's go."

We walk downstairs past his mother and sister, Mali, and out to his car. I wait for Calum to open my door but all he says is "Come on get in you lazy asshole we don't have all day," and let himself in.

I roll my eyes and open the door myself.

"You suck."

He laughs and put his The 1975 CD in,  turning the radio up and drives to the death house.

We arrive at the same time Noel and Michael do and we catch up to them. I slung my arm around Noel's and ask her the question.

"So where did you and Michael go yesterday? I mean it must've been really important for you to ditch me and leave me with Cal."

"Hey! I'm not that bad." I hear Calum running up from behind to catch up with us.

"Well, we decided to go to the arcade and just hung out there all day."

"Oh, fun. Well thanks to you I had to sleep over Calum's house."

"Since when was I the bad guy? I bought you pizza!" Calum hit me lightly on the elbow as we reach our English class.

We meet up with Ashton who was waiting for us in his seat, feet propped up on the desk. I move his feet and sit on the desk as he straightened up.

"Why were you here so early Ash, you didn't even wait for us." I ask as the rest sat down around us.

"I don't know I just got tired of waiting for you guys so I came in... No reason." He just shrugged it off.

Calum was about to say something but Mrs. P came in and ordered each of us to go to our seats. She's always ruining time to talk with my friends. I sit down in my usual seat next to Delilah, but Luke wasn't here. I groan. Now I have to finish the essay myself.

We only need one more paragraph for it but I have no idea what I'm doing whenever I have to work alone, so I already know its gonna turn out shitty.

Love is an expression of caring for one another and is what makes the world turn. There would be nothing if nobody loved each other, I believe.

I believe.

I didn't know how to end it, I've never been in love so I couldn't put how I felt.

Just then, Luke comes storming in through the door, his hair matted down slightly, wearing a red plaid shirt that suited him very well.

"Mr. Hemmings, you're late." Mrs. P says from across the room.

"No really? I thought I was early." He slunk down in his chair next to me and I straighten up. It looks like he had a rough morning and was not planning on talking about it.

"I'm almost done the essay. Maybe we can start the slideshow after school today? But its fine if you don't want to, I mean its due Friday but we still have tomorrow..." I try talking to him slowly trying to calm him maybe. He straightened up a little in his seat.

"I guess," he doesn't take his eyes off the desk as he speaks.

"But can we go to your place this time? My mom is having guests over for some meeting tonight and wants me to stay out of the way."

Luke doesn't say anything for a minute then slowly nods. I feel like he didn't really want me over but we need to finish this project, I was not gonna get another bad grade for presenting. I learned that after being partners with Ashton and got zero percent of it done and we winged it on presentation day and got F's. I couldnt go out and was forced to go on the bus for a week.

A whole week.

That was tough.

"Good, I'll meet you at the end of the day."
