Chap. 22

I don't deny the kiss. I miss his lips once he pulls away, "im sorry," he says loud, but quiet.

I blink slowly, "yeah i know," I say sarcastically.

He looks out the window and gets back in his seat quickly. I look out the window and the boys pile in.

"Here's your fucking food," Johnson throws a bag at me.

"Ow," I say jokingly.

"Pussy," he says. I roll my eyes and take out my tacos. I can see Jack smirking out of the corner of my eye. Sammy sat in the middle.

Pretty soon It's only me and Johnson in the car after he dropped everyone off. He pulls up to my driveway and I get out. "Thanks, Johnson," I say as I close the door.

He nods, then drives down the road. I open the front door to find Cameron on the couch. Oh great.

"Where've you been?" he asks. I'm sure he got home thirty minutes ago. He didn't stop for food.

I shut the door and fix my hair, "we stopped for tacos," I admit.

He nods slowly, "okay." Woah, he didn't freak out this time! I smile as I walk up the stairs and head to my room. I throw down my phone on my bed and take a shower.

It feels good to be clean of all that sticky salt. I get out and change into athletic shorts and a tank top. I just lay on my bed and play on my phone.

At about 3:00, I get a text from Kyle.

Kyle: Sam, I'm in LA! I dropped out of the last week of school. I'm gonna find you so you and I can catch up, okay? It'd help a lot If you just told me where you live..

I roll my eyes. He's acting creepy lately and it honestly makes me not want to be friends with him anymore.

Me: Kyle, just go home. I've changed a lot since I've left, okay. Im not really up for hanging out.

I send that to him. The truth is, i haven't changed that much.
