luke's game had just ended, they lost so you expected him to be in a bad mood after the game. you leaned against the wall outside of the locker room and went on your phone while you waited for luke. after scrolling through instagram and replying to some snaps you heard a door open down the hall.

a tall brunette boy walks out of the other locker room with wet hair and his bag hung over his shoulder with his phone in the other hand pressed against his ear. he hangs up the phone and shoves it in his pocket picking up the sticks he had leaned against the wall. a couple other guys walk out of the room and the three of them start walking towards the door which happened to be right behind you. you looked back down at your phone and ignored them.

"hey guys you head out i'll see ya at practice." you heard faintly.

a bag was dropped beside your feet and you looked up from your phone. the brown haired boy was leaned against the wall beside you.

pov change

"hunter" the guy said.

"y/n." i replied looking back down at my phone again.

"hey i saw you in the stands during the game.. thought you were pretty cute if i'm being honest" he said.

"thanks" i said emotionlessly. i just want this guy to leave.

"hey baby c'mon i'm only tryna be nice." he told me. i didn't respond.

"c'mon lighten up." after another moment of silence he piped up.

"so what are you the sister of someone on the team? why are you just standing here?"

"actually girlfriend." he seemed a bit shocked.

"oh.. well i don't mind if you don't" he said leaning a bit closer to me.

"actually i do mind now please leave me alone" i said raising my voice a little bit.

"cmon baby girl just come with me and let me show you how much better i can do than that boyfriend of yours.. whatever his name is." hunter starts rubbing his hands up my hips and i struggle to push him away.

"it's luke" i said still trying to squirm away from him.

"fine then.. luke"

"yes?" luke asked coming out of the door. i could tell by the look on his face he heard everything. hunter took his hands off me letting them linger a little too long but i slapped them away.

"so this is him?" he said looking at me while pointing his thumb at luke. i nodded. and hunter turned back and laughed.

"what's so funny?" luke asked him seriously while walking in front of me to stand in between hunter and i.

"just the fact that a girl like her ended up with a guy like you" he said laughing again.

"let's go luke." i said to him while pulling his arm trying to get him to drop it.

"no, no.. why is that so shocking?" luke questioned him.

"bro she's way out of your league"

"you know you're right. she is. but she chose to be with me. and she's not just gonna drop it all and choose to go with you." luke said to him.

"hmm you sure about that.. cause one night with me and i'll have her screaming my n-" hunter was cut of by luke grabbing him by the collar and shoving him against the stone wall.

"finish it.. finish the goddamn sentence!" luke yelled in his face.

"i'll have her screaming my name.." hunter said with an evil smirk.

luke pulled one hand back and clenched it into a fist and threw it at hunters face. hunter tried to fight back but was completely useless. he fell down to the ground and luke was on top of him. he punched him over and over and over again til his face was practically covered in blood. i screamed at luke the whole time telling him to stop and trying to pull him off of the guy but i couldn't. luke grabbed him by the collar again and slammed his head on the ground.

"don't ever touch my girlfriend again, you hear me?!" he said. hunter was nearly unconscious so he responded with a groan but he eventually made out some words.

"..i-is that all you got?" he said lazily.

like went to punch him again but i grabbed his arm.

"lets just go, luke.. please.." i looked at him about to burst into tears. when he saw me his expression changed and he realized what he did. a couple of his teammates walked out of the locker room after hearing me screaming at luke.

"yo what the fuck are you doing luke you're gonna get suspended" one of them said.

"i don't fucking care. this never would've happened if this douchebag kept his hands off of y/n" the guys responded with 'oh' and 'you did what was right i guess'.

luke stood up and turned to me. he engulfed me in a huge hug and stuffed his head into my neck. i could tell he was about to cry from seeing what he did to me but didn't want his teammates to see him like that.

"i'm sorry if i upset you baby" he said quietly into my neck.

"it's okay let's just go home." i said to him pulling his face back and smiling at him. he gave me a quick peck and turned around. his teammates had gone back into the locker room and hunter was slowly rolling around on the ground holding his nose which was definitely broken.

"don't touch, talk to, or even look at her again." luke said quietly but sternly.

"alright! you're fucking crazy man" hunter said as he stumbled to his feet and staggered back to his locker room.

luke looked at me and we bother chuckled. he grabbed my hand and we walked to the car.

"i love you, y/n. don't forget that" he said to me.

"i love you too, luke"

dang two chapters this week i'm on fire. jk i have 4 missing socials assignments, 2 missing science assignments, and 6 missing band weekly updates. how's your school going cause i'm blowing off mine to write shitty nhl imagines💀
