Y/n's P.O.V

Y/n packed her bags, she was getting ready to go on her class summer training camp. She was in class 1-A at UA high, basically she had reached the pinnacle of hero education. She had a cool and really practical quirk, one that allowed her to control metal. Well, all metal within a 15 meter range. She could pretty much liquify it, move it around through the air, reform it, keep it solid, basically whatever. It's a super cool quirk to have in this day and age. But she does seem to rely a bit too heavily on it, which is bad considering it has downsides such as giving her nosebleeds if she overuses it. But Y/n's been training hard at UA to develop more fighting skills.

Y/n's quirk is good for offence and amazing at defense, although it does make her movements rather slow on the battlefield. Her smarts? Well, that's complicated. As far as classroom stuff like maths, science, history and English she's top of her class, but when it comes to practical smarts, like in a battle, well, that's another story. But she's an attentive and hardworking student who gives her all to everything. Y/n has a dream that is just within her reach, and there's no way she was giving up on it.

As Y/n packed she thought about her friends that would be at the camp with her. She was friends with everyone in her class, but a few individuals who stand out are Jiro, Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, Yaoyorozu, Asui and Todoroki. Most noteably was Todoroki. She wasn't quite sure how she'd gotten so close to Todoroki, considering how apathetic he was most of the time, but she did remember how it started.

Y/n remembered how terrified she was on her first day. She didn't know anyone at UA, and her class would be the top hero class. Do you know how nerve wracking that is to someone who considers themselves an average girl? She remembered walking to class, each step she took made her stomach sink more. Every person she saw felt bigger and bigger until she felt like she was a mouse, trapped in a room full of cats. Y/n was terrified, although she tried her hardest not to show it.

She made it to class, and to her horror she found most people were already there, and had already started making their own cliques and friendship groups. She was far too intimidated to talk to any of the groups, so she silently made her way to her seat. She went to sit down, pulling her chair back, before clutching it so hard her knuckles turned white. Did she plan to spend the whole year like this? All alone and afraid of her own classmates? Y/n wouldn't even be able to make it through the morning like that. She looked to her left. Most people nearby were already in groups. She swallowed her nerves. Surely there was someone she could talk to. She then looked to her right. The boy with multicoloured hair next to her was alone, he just seemed to be staring out the window, bored.

'Maybe he's like me, hoping someone will start speaking to him.' Y/n thinks. So she does something that she still can't believe she did to this day. She walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, my name's Y/n L/n, but I don't mind if you call me Y/n." She says. Y/n had never been more nervous in her life. The boy looked up at her and introduced himself with a polite smile. He said his name was Shoto Todoroki, and the two of you started talking. Y/n clung to that boy for the entire first day. Actually, closer to the entire first month. For a long time, Todoroki was her only good friend in class, and she was his.

For Y/n, it was a very interesting experience befriending Todoroki, because it made her a new type of person. Up until now, she had always been really quiet, her friends were always the talkative ones who would initiate conversations. But since she met Todoroki, he's a lot more reserved than she ever was. She started becoming more outlandish, more confident, and it was a change Y/n quite liked. If her friends at UA saw what type of person she was before, they wouldn't even be able to recognise her. Life's just been so much more fulfilling for her lately.

Another thing about Todoroki, Y/n had a massive crush on him. He'd done so many amazing things for her, and he just seems to be getting better and better. Todoroki is Y/n's best friend, and this is the happiest Y/n's ever been, but she still can't help but wish that their friendship was something... more.

Y/n finished packing her bags, with what was probably way more clothes than she would actually need. She said her goodbyes to her family and then headed towards school.

Y/n's phone rings, a call from a hidden number. She picks up. "Hey." She says.

The raspy voice of a man sounds on the other side. "Remember to send us your location when you arrive."

Y/n nods her head before realising that the person on the other end of the call can't see that. "Yeah, of course." She says before handing up.

The last thing you probably need to know about Y/n: she is part of the league of villains. It's not as bad as you'd think, she's not insane or anything.  Y/n just doesn't like the restrictions society puts on heroes. It's too much for her. It's easier to just work as a vigilante. But since the league of villains attack on the USJ, heroes and law has been stronger than ever. She needed the protection of a large underground group. Oh well, if you can't beat them, join them. Besides, the league gave her one thing that the hero laws don't, freedom. Freedom to her own beliefs as to what's right and wrong, freedom as to how to use her quirk, and freedom as to how to treat those who she disagrees with. It was originally hard for her to adjust with the ways most of the members of the league see the world, but after a while it gets pretty easy.

Y/n then arrived at UA, and went to greet Todoroki in the parking lot, where the bus would soon come to pick them up.
