Unbearable

You walked out into the dining area. Todoroki was sitting at a table with a few other friends of yours. You had seen him eat a fair few times before. He was always refined and polite when he ate, after all his family is rich and famous. He gets invited to a lot of events, so it makes sense he'd developed a lot of good habits when it comes to eating.

But tonight, it appears he threw all his manners out the window. He was eating like a pig, he had a mountain of food piled up on his plate and he was eating so fast you didn't think he was even chewing. He wasn't the only one doing this though, almost everyone was acting as if they hadn't eaten in weeks. You heard your stomach rumble as you watched the other students eat. You'd probably soon be joining him in pigging out. You went to go sit next to Todoroki. He stopped eating as you approached him.

"Y/n, you're late. You've missed out on so much amazing food." He says.

'Remember, act normal. Fake smile.' You tell yourself. Your stomach rumbles, but at the same time, you've never been more repulsed by anything before in your entire life. 'Come on! Come on! Act normal!' You remind yourself.

"U-um, yeah. My mum told me to call her once I arrived." You say. Your voice was shaky. What happened? You've been doing so well all term, why did you suddenly feel guilty now?! Your stomach hurt.

Todoroki frowned and looked you in your eyes. Nope, no, nah, no way, nuh-uh, there was no way you could do this. You had never felt so terrible about anything in your life, and your life hadn't exactly been the easiest. He reached his hand out and touched your arm gently. He was clearly worried for you. This was bad, you couldn't keep up this charade. Your stomach started churning.

You could feel it, all the regret and mistakes and sorrow and actions you couldn't take back. All the selfish desires, all the devious tricks and all the people you've strung along and used. The person who fell hardest of all for your act, looking up at you with genuine concern, just wanting to know what's wrong so he can help you. It was sickening to know the way you had treated him, and everyone else. "Y/n, what's wrong? Are you feeling alright?" He asks.

No, you couldn't do it anymore. You were about to throw up. All the awful things you did physically repulsed you. You jerked your arm out of reach of his and ran away, into the forest with a hand over your mouth. As you entered the maze of trees, you saw Todoroki suddenly stand up out of his seat, slamming his hands on the table. "Wait! Y/N!" He yells after you.

Once you felt that you'd found a secluded spot you used a tree to support you as you threw up all over the ground. Everything you'd ever done you were questioning. Everything was regrets. The future seemed so uncertain. There was only one this you knew; you were never fit to be a hero. You're a terrible person, and will always be a villain.

Once you had emptied the contents of your stomach all over the ground, you only felt worse. This was awful. You walked to a large tree nearby and climbed it until you were surrounded by the support of its thick branches. You curled yourself up into a ball and cried. You had never cried so much in your life. You wanted to scream, but you never wanted anyone to hear your voice. You wanted to punch something, but you didn't want to cause any more damage. So you just stayed in that tree, crying.

"Y/N!!" you heard a voice say faintly in the distance. At first, you only heard one voice, but then you could make out several others. Your class must be looking for you. You sat up straight and wiped your eyes. Be strong. Only a couple more days, you could do this. You took a couple of deep breathes before climbing out of the tree.

"I'M HERE!!" You yell out.

Someone comes out of the jumble of trees. It was Kaminari. "Y/n! Thank god you're okay!! What happened? You look awful." He says as he approaches you. You wipe your eyes again. "I'm sorry. D-did I really cause that much drama?" You say. 'Good work. Play the part.' You tell yourself.

More people start coming out of the forest. They all surrounded you, clearly worried.

"Y/n!!" You hear Todoroki's voice call out. He runs up to you and hugs you, so quickly you barely saw him running. He holds you tight. Despite all your emotions, it feels so nice to have your best friend here with you. He seemed so worried. "What happened back there..?" He asks. The way he says it is so gentle, as if he's afraid of scaring you off again. You hug back and you can't help yourself, you bury your face into his shoulder and start crying. Uncontrollable tears, worse than the ones in the tree. He held you tight and with time the two of you crumpled to the ground. This was pathetic, you were so upset you couldn't even stand anymore, and you'd brought Todoroki down with you. Then Mr Aizawa showed up.

"Y/n, are you alright? Todoroki told me everything he saw, but what's wrong?" He asks.

You pull your head out if Todoroki's shoulder to see you left a large wet patch of tears on his shirt. You wiped your eyes and nose on your arm. "I'm sorry everyone. I think what happened today was a result of all the blood loss I experienced during training. I went to go eat dinner and suddenly I was feeling really sick and tired. I felt like I was going to throw up so I ran out here to do so, and then my head started hurting from all the drowsiness so I started crying. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause so much trouble." You say. It only made your stomach feel worse, knowing how easily you lied. You lied as if it was second nature, to so many people who're genuinely worried about you. Disgusting.

Mr Aizawa nodded. "I understand." He then addressed the class. "I'm going to take Y/n back to her room and see if I find any medicine." He says.

"I'll come with you." Todoroki says.

"No, you won't. You students will go back to just going about your evening." Mr Aizawa says.

Todoroki scowls at him reluctantly. He wanted to help his friend. You touch his arm gently. "Don't worry." You say with a smile, "I'll be fine. Besides, you should just finish that delicious dinner you were talking about." You say.

He still seemed reluctant at first, but then Todoroki  looks down at the ground. "Alright, if you say so." He says, and then you go off with Mr Aizawa.

'Come on Y/n, stop being such a drama queen. This is getting serious now.' you think.
