Living with lies
Walking home the sun beat down on my already tanned skin. Summer break had begun and we’d left the school early a couple hours before our normal finish time. People hugging each other and crying, as if they weren’t going to see each other tomorrow. They all loved summer break, no getting up ridiculously early, parties and fun. Myself on the other hand hated it, my time to spend with my loving parents. Even in my thoughts sarcasm dripping my my words. Although hopefully they’d go on vacation and leave me at home.
Reaching my house, I couldn’t wait to go in and watch friends for the whole break. Though that apparently wasn’t the plan. Walking in my parents were stood in the living room looking stressed bags next to them, their eyes snapping up to me as I walked through the entrance. I passed them on the way to my room before hearing my dad speak up.
“Get changed, your leaving” my dad said not even looking my way or offering an explanation.
Doing as he said because he normally doesn’t give explanations to me anyways I walked in my room and slammed the door shut behind me.
Looking in the mirror my blonde hair way messy due to the wind my green eyes stood out even more against my tanned skin. Quickly grabbing a pair of ripped jeans and a pink cropped hoodie to put on I walked into the bathroom. Brushing my hair neatly and then grabbing some vans to complete the look. Smiling happily to myself and walked out my room.
My parents were still stood in the living room
“ your leaving for the summer to go and live with some other people” my mom explained.
“Fine” I huffed knowing not to argue. My dad giving me a pointed look not to speak in that tone.
“ The cars outside waiting” he said before pushing me out the door with my cases.
Outside a black suv waited the driver stood by the door ready to grab my bags, I opened the car door and sat inside. When the driver came back in i sat in silence waiting for us to drive off, my parents still inside the house not bothering to see me off.
“ where am I going?” I asked annoyed at the lack of information
“ I’m not allowed to say” the driver replied annoying me further.
Deciding it’s a good idea to stay silent as there is no point anyways I sighed and settled into the seat.
After about an hour I got tired my eyes drooping so I leant my head against the window letting myself sleep.
I was woken by the car abruptly stopping, rubbing my eyes I sat up wondering how long I’d been asleep it was dark outside and cold. Hugging my arms close I wished I’d packed a jacket. The driver opened the door and in front of me stood a huge house three times the size of my old one. Gaping at the sight in front of me I let the driver grab my cases as I walked inside the warm immediately hitting me skin.
I gasped, shocked that 6 boys stood in the living room smiling at me.
