"Why?" I whined, holding tightly to Alex's sleeve. Even with me dragging her down, she stayed firm and continued looking for more things to bring with her. "I thought I'm allowed to go with you guys now!"

"You are," Alex said, slowly pulling away my hand. She and Steve are getting ready to go to the Nether. And for some reason, I can't go with them. "But not today, okay? Promise, next time. We just have something to do first."

"Why?" I asked.

"Issues." This time, it was Steve who spoke. He's staring blankly at the wall, clenching and unclenching his hand. Once he was back out, he made eye contact with me for a brief moment before giving me a nod. "We won't be long."

I pouted. My attempt to make them feel guilty wasn't effective though, and in the end they still left. I sighed, staring at the food on the table.

It doesn't feel right. . . Eating without them, but they'd probably scold me if I don't eat. So I ate, alone, staring blankly at the window.

They're long gone, they're fast on their feet.

"What am I supposed to do now?" I said to no one in particular.

A few minutes later, I found myself lazily sitting in the sheep's pen, occasionally petting those sheep that would walk in front of me. They're really soft, and they smell relatively good, too. Of course, the noise is still annoying.

"What should I do?" I whispered, hoping one of them would answer me.

To my surprise, one of the sheep made eye contact with me. I jumped in my seat, my hand ready to summon my sword. Slowly, it bowed its head, walking closer to me and— nipped at the grass underneath. I sighed in relief and quickly headed right out.

The house is so quiet. If I don't think of doing anything while they're gone, I might go insane. And I don't want to disobey them or anything, so I'm staying here. . . For now. Maybe I'll just sleep it off. . . But I don't want to sleep. I slept a lot already, I want to do something else.

I dragged myself down the stairs and headed for the storage room. What can I make? Food? There's not much food to make, actually. Items, then? But at the moment they don't really need anything. I peered into their. . . Our ores chest. We have an insanely large ore collection here, one whole chest is filled with iron, and two more filled with others. It probably wouldn't make much of a difference if I took a stack, right?

I furrowed my eyebrows and tried imagining Steve and Alex getting mad.

Probably not.

I opened the chest to their plants next and took some pumpkins. I'm planning on making golems. These'll be a big help for us, specially since there's a lot of monsters that spawn here, and they would be a really big help specially when I want to go up the mountain to go see the view.

I headed outside and created two iron golems. They're taller than I thought they'd be, and they look really, really scary, but they took just one look at me before heading on their merry way. I just hope they don't stray too far and die— that'd be such a waste.

Now I'm back to having absolutely nothing to do at—

Oh. They were once interested about enchanted stuff, right?

So now my journey to make an enchanted table begins.
———

I'm finished.

I'm finished. . .

I finished it. . . seven days ago.

I've created enchanted armor and weapons, killed as many animals as I could to gain XP so I could get the best enchantments for us.
