Chapter 10
I hop out of bed the next morning. I was about to text Mahogany, but then I remember that nobody's awake! I grab my outfit on the hanger and walk into the bathroom. My brain isn't functioning properly, because its so early! I clean my face with one of the face cleansing pads, brush my teeth, and put on some mascara and lipgloss. I decide to wear my contacts. I put my clothes and some perfume on and walk out of my room. I see Casey peeking out of her bedroom.
"You never saw me!" I whisper yell and tip toe down the stairs. I grab my jacket off the coat racket and walk out the door closing it as quietly as possible. I lay my jacket on the ground and sit on it so my white shorts won't get dirty and wait for JJ to come and pick me up.
At 6:40 on the dot I hear a car pull up, I look up from my phone and see JJ's car. I walk off the porch and over to jacks car, I get in and buckle my seat belt.
"Good morning!" He says.
"Morning, why so early it only take 10 minutes to get to school?" I ask.
"Because it takes 5 minutes to get Mallory and she always takes her another five minutes just to walk out the house," Jack explains.
"DOESN'T MALLORY HAVE HER OWN CAR, LIKE DAMN!" I blurt out, covering my mouth immediately after it comes out.
"Yes she does," he says.
"I'm so sorry Jack I didn't think before I spoke!" I say still in shock about what had just came out of my mouth.
"It's fine I think that all the time!" He says.
"I'm sorry once again!" I say. It's like I couldn't stop apologizing.
"Ali it's fine, plus she's catching a ride with one of her friends this afternoon," he says.
"Okay," I say. We pull on Mallory's street and park in front of her house. JJ gets out of the car and walks to her doorstep and knocks. He wasn't lying about her taking 5 minutes to get out of the damn house! Finally she walks out and walks to the car with JJ. She gets in the back and JJ gets in the driver seat.
"What is this thing doing in the car?" She ask.
"What are you talking about Mallory? There is nothing in the car but three people?" Jack ask. I smile at him. Mallory just sits back in her seat like a scolded puppy. The whole ride to school was silent after that. JJ parks in the parking lot, I get out, but before I do I do something just to get under Mallory's skin.😏
"Thanks Jack!" I say then give him a kiss on the cheek. I look back to see Mallory in absolute shock. I smirk at her and get out the car. I walk in the school and go to my locker confidently.

I spent the whole time in Calculus and English worrying about what Mallory is going to do/say when I go to Spanish class. My thoughts were interrupted when the bell rang, I got up hesitantly and walked out of English class. I walking to Spanish and waited out side the door. I started feeling like I was going to puke, but I took a deep breath and walked in the class. I avoid all eye contact with her and took my seat. To my relief she didn't say anything or give me the death glare! The whole class she did absolutely nothing to me! When Spanish was over I walked out and took a huge sigh of relief.
"Hey you coming to lunch?" Mahogany ask stopping where I was standing.
"Yeah let's go!" I say and we start walking. We sit with at the table that Chloe and Kamryn were sitting at. We spend the whole lunch period talking and pick over our lunch food. At the end we say goodbye and go to our next class. In study hall I do my homework but stop midway and get on my phone. I seen a ton of text from my mom asking me where I was and why I wasn't at home when she woke up. I make up some lame excuse saying I went to Mahogany's house because I had to do finish up some homework and I caught a ride with her to school. Luckily she believed it and told me she had to get back to work. I got on twitter for a while then Mahogany texted me.

💋- hey you wanna go to the mall Friday and spend the night at my house?
🎀- sure! Wait what's Friday's date?
💋- ummm October 7😁
🎀- OMG ITS OCTOBER ALREADY?!😳
💋- yeah time goes by fast!
🎀- oh my god...it's October!😳
💋- yes? Why are you freaking out?
🎀- it's just October is one of the months in Omaha were a lot of stuff happens!
💋- like what? 😁
🎀- tee peeing houses, egging houses, setting stuff on fire, Halloween parties, there's a Halloween dance at the school, and a ton of other stuff!
💋- ohhhhh can't wait😏 lol bye I have to get back to class before the teacher sends somebody to the bathroom to get me😜

I start thinking about all the stuff that happens in October, mostly the parties! I have never been to one but I hear they're wild! Plus I watch enough girl code and seen enough movies to imagine some of the stuff that goes on at them! Once again my thoughts were interrupted by the bell, I roll my eyes, pick up my stuff, and walk to civics.

The rest of the days goes on and at the end of the day I meet JJ at his car.
"You getting in?" He ask chuckling.
"Yeah, sorry my mind was somewhere else," I say getting in.
"Did she bother you at all today?" He ask concerned.
"No," I say.
"Alright if she ever does tell me," he says.
"I will!" I say smiling at him. The rest of the ride was silent, I just stared out the window thinking about October and all the stuff that happens,this month! And for the third time today my thoughts were interrupted.
"Alison, you there?" Jack asking waving his hand in front of my face.
"Yeah?" I say snapping out of my daze.
"We're here," he says.
"Oh, yeah sorry, thanks!" I saw still slightly in my daydream.
"You okay?" He ask.
"Yeah I'm fine," I say getting out of the car. "Thanks."
"Welcome see ya tomorrow," he says driving off.
"Who was that?" Case ask while getting up from the couch and walking into the kitchen.
"Just a guy," I saying looking down at my shoes and blush.
"Whatever," she says, rolling her eyes and walking back to couch with her drink.
I walk up stairs and sit at my desk to finish my homework.

After I finish my homework I flop on my bed.
"It's October already," I say to myself in shock. "What am I gonna be?"
I get my phone out of my bag and text Mahogany.

🎀- I know but one problem😁

🎀- my parents will never let me out of the house like that😒
💋- well we can go costume shopping on Friday after school😉
🎀- k I'll see you at school tomorrow

Once my mom and dad came home, we at dinner and all went up to our rooms. I did my nightly routine and went to bed.
