In The Beginning

It all started with the News.
Nobody in our country took it seriously, not even myself. The first time I heard about the Corona virus was on the news like most people, and they said it originated on Wuhan China, but nobody really knew what or where it came from. It just came and when people started getting sick, it was just the beginning.

They shut down all traveling to and from other countries here in the America. China was one of the first countries that was overrun with infected people and many of them people had died, however most scientists thought this was a very tame thing. Once you get tested, you get help and the  everything is okay. But with the Government of almost every country shutting down all traveling everywhere said different. And it mad a panic.

People were on social media with lies or overwhelming facts. It was too much information but not enough. The unknowns about the virus started making people scared and antsy. Everyone was coming up with different conspiracy theories around it. One of the major ones, was about our president at the time, Donald Trump.

Many thought or believed that it was another way of trying to get him out of office when others thought it was Trumps way of getting the economy where he wanted it. The stock markets started crashing after the virus began to spread. It was characterized as the worse downfall since the crash of 2008. Not that I cared about economic shit then. It was just one of the stupid facts on the news I did remember.

But nothing and yes, I mean nothing, on the news prepared is for what the virus really was. A month after the initial breakout, people who were infected became aggressive and irritated with small things and all the wack job scientists were confused and could not explain it.

One day everything crashed down hard around every nation. Leaving nobody unaffected by its death grip on the world. It was truly the scariest moment of my 17 year old life.
