[song choice by Angeles🌞]

[I did a slowed down version tho]

A few weeks passed, and having Noah around the bakery was becoming a normalcy. It was normal to hear his laugh throughout the bakery, or see him strategically making some complicated dessert. It was normal for when any minor inconvenience occurred, there was almost always someone saying,"Just call Noah!"

And he would walk in, normally sighing because it was usually Jose causing the problems (accidentally burning the cupcakes in the oven, or spilling flour all over the floor), and saying, "I don't know how you survive when I'm not here."

Kyra didn't know, either. All she knew is that things definitely did go better when he was there.

Kyra was learning a lot about Noah. She knew he was an only child with two divorced parents. He loved to bake, run, listen to music, and play soccer with Kaven occasionally on the weekends. He always ran his hands through his hair when he was nervous or stressed, and bit his lip when concentrating. She knew he actually loved when it rained outside, often saying if it weren't for the fact that he was working, he would go outside right that second and dance in the rain.

She knew he was such a people person, and was so good with the customers. She knew he always tries his best to make other people happy, even when he's not feeling all that great himself.

She knew a lot about him, and even though she didn't know everything, Kyra still felt warm at the thought that she did. It made her feel closer to him.

They were growing closer, and everyday she felt that bond between them strengthening. Massive crush aside, Kyra could really feel a good friendship forming between her and Noah...even though one smirk has him winning any argument that ensues.

Now it was the beginning of October and Kyra couldn't see any turning back from this crush. Noah was such a major part of her life now.

It was a Saturday, a rather slower one than usual, and Kyra and Angeles sat bored at the counter while Noah banged around in the kitchen.

Angeles sighed. "Do you ever wish you had joined any extracurriculars at the beginning of the year? I feel like my life is just going to school and working here. That's it. How boring..."

"Well," Kyra replied, "I think we were a little preoccupied with moving states to the think about all that. I mean, I'm sure it's not too late."

"Yeah, but if I join anything everyone's going to be so much better than me, not to mention how lazy I am-"

A loud clatter in the kitchen disrupted their conversation.

"What the hell are you doing in there?" Kyra shouted.

"Sorry!" Noah's voice called back, "I just dropped something!"

Angeles turned back to Kyra and exhaled, "Whatever. I guess I just wish I had something in my life that was special to me. To some people, it's sports. For you, it's Noah-"

Kyra's eyes widened and she quickly shushed Angeles with her finger, pointing her head aggressively towards the kitchen.

"He's right there," She whispered harshly.

"Oh shut up, you know he likes you too," Angeles whispered back.

Kyra felt her cheeks heat up and gave her a look as if to say, Are you fucking insane??
