I lightly tap my pencil on the hard wood desk that the teacher cleaned before the class got here. My leg bounced anxiously, my facial expressions stone cold.
"Would you stop that tapping Mr. Choi?" The teacher, Mrs. Kim, announced to the quiet class.
"Yeah.." I dropped my pencil almost instantly, the attitude in my voice showed.
"Was that attitude I hear?" She pushed herself up from her chair using her hands, in a powerful motion. I scoff quietly.
"No." I quickly say, barely audible.
"Excuse me?" She made me repeat myself. I look up squinting my eyes ever so slightly.
"No." I repeat again, Only louder. I hear the class look up, perplexed at my sudden loudness.
I watch as the teacher walks over to my desk, her heels hitting the cold floor imitating a powerful presents. My face is as unbothered as ever, I stare at her right in her cold dark eyes.
"Detention." She pulls a detention slip from her pocket swiftly onto my desk. I only stare at it, raising my left eyebrow.
"I expect to see you there, Choi." She mumbles as she walks away. I crumple it up and slip it into my sweatshirt pocket.
Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"You idiot, do you know how mean she is during detentions?" A familiar voice whispers in my ear. My best friend, Choi Soobin.
"I'm the idiot here?" I lean back, with a smirk. We all know I wasn't going to that detention.
I can feel him roll his eyes behind my back.I stare at the clock, rejecting my work. Soon enough the bell rings.
On cue all the kids neatly walk out of the classroom in a line, as if it were elementary school. I grab my books and take on last glance at Mrs. Kim. She was grading so I took the chance to make faces at her, childishly. I quickly bolt out of the class, chuckling. I catch up with Soobin and practically jump on his back. He makes a loud grunt as I do so.
"Why so tall?" I question how short I was compared to him. He shrugs.
"Midget." He observes me up and down. I glare at him.
"Rabbit." I pull on his ear.
"Yah, I'm not a rabbit!" He rubs his ear and pouts like a little baby. I chuckle.
"Aw poor little bunny." I squish his cheeks, and imitate a baby voice. He gives me a glare and continues walking, his pout not leaving his face. I chuckled and made my way to class, which was quite far. I glared at a clock nearby, my eyes widened.
"10 minutes late." I mumbled and began to run to my class. As soon as I reached it, my teacher, Mr. Jung, was at the door, anticipating my arrival. I chew on my bottom lip.
"Beomgyu." He welcomes me. "You're late." His tone of voice was stirn.
"Again." He hit me on the back of the neck. "Get in your seat, and we'll talk about this later." I did as told.--
As the bell rang, the teacher called me up in front of the class as the rest left for break.
"Beomgyu, these are your grades." He did indeed have my grades pulled up on his computer.
"Yeah, and?" I rolled my eyes, and didn't even bother to gaze at the screen. I knew they were bad.
"You're going to need tutoring. Starting tomorrow, at the library." He closed his laptop, and glared at me.
"Tomorrow is Saturday sir.." Disappointment was coated in my voice.
"Yeah, and?" He mocked me. I mumbled some words and stomped off, shutting the door loudly.
"Why! Out of all days-" I sat in front of my locker, my hands holding up my head.
I gaze at the people walking past me. Instantly I noticed Soobin come up to me. I ran up to him, and hugged him. Which was rare.
"Soobin!" I cried out. He was just as confused. "I have to get tutored." I dramatically place the back of my hand on my forehead, falling down.
"You're so dramatic. I'm sure it won't be that bad. Who is it with?" He didn't sound like he cared.
"He didn't tell me." I lean against my locker. I couldn't help but pout.
"Is.. Beomie pouting?" Soobin sat next to me.
"No! Shut up." I place my hood on my head, pulling the strings. Only a tuft of silver hair peaked out from under the hood.
