"Absolutely not." Naruto said as he folded his arms, he sat on the couch with a sleepy Shikamaru who head was on his shoulder, and his brother who seemed to be in a mood. Asuma only smoked a cigarette as they looked to the Hokage. Shikaku looked down as Minato to see what he would do.

"Why not?" Minato asked generally wondering why Naruto was turning down this mission, but clearly by the state of the team you could see why.

"We haven't had a break! Every since we came back from the wave mission, we get one day of rest and then you send us on another month mission." Naruto said and Shikaku nodded, he barely sees his son unless it's in this office.

"Sasuke is moody, I don't think he's had tomatoes in months." Sasuke raised his hand.

"Four months to be exact." Naruto pointed to the sleeping Shikamaru.

"He's sleeping more than usual, and I'd let him sleep, but we haven't been able to have a single date." Naruto said and then he pointed to Asuma.

"That man hasn't seen his lover in four months! We are drained and tired, why can't a Jounin do this mission?" Naruto asked and Minato sighed.

"They can't, The Chunin exams are in a month, you just have to deliver this scroll to the Kazekage. You can stay until you rested and then I won't send you on another mission until you three become Chunin." Naruto exhaled, before he looked to his twin. Sasuke and him having a silent conversation before Asuma hummed.

"Absolutely not, you both will not do what you both are thinking about." Naruto and Sasuke rolled their eyes before Asuma turned to the Hokage.

"We accept the mission, since we are packed we'll leave immediately." Naruto and Sasuke whispered.

"We should just leave clones, we can make it look like an Anbu did it or something." Sasuke said and Naruto nodded.

"Running us ragged, I should've told Memna that I'm his older brother. I wish I thought about killing him before." Naruto said and Asuma shot his Genin a look.

"We are so scared, Beard-Sensei." Naruto mocked as he woke Shikamaru up, while Asuma grabbed the scroll.

"We have a mission, honey." Naruto said calmly, that did nothing to stop Shikamaru's grumpiness.

"I am fucking tired." Shikamaru said and Shikaku held a shaky grin.

Sending these children might not have been the best idea.

The Genin walked out the door, and it was Shikamaru who slammed the door, Shikaku only went back to paperwork while Minato hummed.

"Sending them..." Shikaku finished for him.

"Was probably not the best call, Minato." Minato only sighed while team ten walked out the village. It was quiet and Shikamaru wasn't sturdy on his feet, leaning into Naruto while Naruto walked next to Sasuke them silently plotting the hokage's death, while Asuma only lit another cigarette.

They were all in an extremely bad mood, so when ninja's came wanting the scroll for information, the air was like a blazing fire, the ninja's froze as team ten smoothly eliminated them, before they went back to sulking.

"Tch, I wish my father still hung out at the tower. He would've talked some sense into your father." Asuma said and Naruto huffed.

"That man is not my damn father, and you are the jounin, you could've denied this mission." Naruto said and Shikamaru grumpily agreed, his sentence being muffled by Naruto's shirt but everybody knew what he said.

"We all know this is a drag, Shikamaru. I cannot wait to actually get some much needed Relaxation. How long are we staying?" Sasuke asked and Asuma hummed.

"Three days minimum." The Genin nodded and they reached the border of the wind country. They decided to rest and head when the sun was down and it wasn't a blazing heat. Naruto watched because everybody else was tired, while he was just craving more than a simple touch from Shikamaru.

Shikamaru has always had a second sense when it came to Naruto, even in his tired state he knew something was wrong, so when he heard Asuma and Sasuke snoring he left the tent to see Naruto on a branch. Walking up the tree, Shikamaru sat on the branch next to Naruto kissing his temple.

"What's up buttercup." Naruto smiled and leaned into Shikamaru.

"We just haven't been as intimate with these back to back missions, I just miss you is all." Naruto said while Shikamaru nodded.

"I do too." Shikamaru leaned down and pulled Naruto into a kiss, Naruto responded a little too quickly but Shikamaru didn't mind. Shikamaru pulled away a smiled.

"Can you wait? We are so close to a break." Naruto nodded, leaning into Shikamaru snuggling into his neck.

The sun set and the Genin along with Asuma headed through the desert. One step in the sand and Sasuke immediately hated his life, this sand was nonsense, there wasn't a tree in sight, even with the sun set it was the worst thing to walk through this, it got so cold, even Asuma was shaking.

"Can we kill the Hokage now?" Shikamaru said. Freezing his ass off. While Naruto seemed to be at peace.

"I haven't been to Suna, but this looks like a cool place." Naruto spoke mostly to himself because they arrived the next morning around 7am. Flashing their ninja badges but one guard looked at Naruto strangely.

He let them in and even ushered them to the tower. Naruto hands were locked with Shikamaru's the entire time because Shikamaru was still sleepy, when they walked in the tower, they all just bowed and let Asuma talked and Asuma was very grateful.

If the Genin talked they could start a war.

"From the Hokage, probably about the Chunin exams." The Kazekage had stunning red hair, as he looked at the team, he gave a chuckle.

"Minato must be running you ragged." That only made the Genin stand up and start talking over one another.

"Exactly, we are still Genin mind you, being ran like we are Jounin!" Sasuke said.

"God forbid he actually gives his Jounin missions because I feel like we've been doing it all." Shikamaru said.

"It's that damn blonde bastard. He just too lazy to look, and your father being his advisor isn't any better." Naruto said turning to Shikamaru as Shikamaru folded his arms.

"A Nara is genetically lazy, a Namikaze isn't, look at you!" Shikamaru said and Sasuke walked to Naruto.

"Don't you dare be yelling at my twin! Don't forget Naruto is too good for you." Sasuke said and Asuma scoffed behind his Genin.

"Stop arguing!" Naruto, Shikamaru and Sasuke stopped talking before looking up at Asuma and then each other. Then they started laughing in unison and Asuma scoffed and lit a cigarette.

"Kami, Sensei. You sounded so authoritative." Shikamaru said and Naruto hummed.

"I'm sorry Kazekage-Sama, we are just worn out." Naruto said and Sasuke sighed sitting on the couch.

"Yeah extremely." The door opened, and three teens who looks nothing alike walked in. Sasuke has his eyes closed sitting on the couch. While Shikamaru and Naruto chuckled.

"You mind if we stay? My Genin need to rest." Asuma said and the Kazekage smiled.

"Of course you can stay, Temari show them to a inn." Naruto and Shikamaru looked and saw a dirty blonde haired woman, she looked like she was eighteen already, she wasn't bad looking, beautiful skin and a little rough around the edges, Naruto and Shikamaru shared a look.

"Totally." Naruto responded, and Shikamaru chuckled. Asuma only looked at his Genin.

"SASUKE, WAKE UP." Asuma said and Sasuke opened his eyes, and if looks could kill. Sasuke stood up and Temari chuckled.

"Well I'll take you four to the best inn." Temari said and Naruto smiled.

"So Temari are you single?" Naruto said walking with the blonde while Sasuke walked next to Shikamaru.
