I wrap my black covered arms around my thin body, waiting for my aunt to get out of the car. She is here with me to meet the principal on my first day of school.

My aunt looks like one of those really nice people, where if you need help they'd love to help you. But on the inside, she is nothing like that. "Alexandria," she says harshly, "hurry up, you'll make me late."

Instead of arguing that she is making herself left late, I just nod and pick up my black bag off of the ground, then sling it over my left shoulder.

My aunt parked near the front of the parking lot, so the walk to the front door is pretty short. As soon as we reach the doors, they open. Standing in front of us is a man in a black suit. He is taller than my five foot seven height. He has graying brown hair and green-blue looking eyes.

"I am principal Willex," he says, holding his hand out for my aunt to shake.

After shaking his hand, my aunt says, "I am Nyx Coles. And this is my niece, Alexandria Black."

I prepare myself for the next thing the principal will most likely say. "Weird that you wear the color your last name is," he mutters.

If everyone at this school is an ass like he is, I'm going to be in the office a lot. "At least I can pull the color off," I say, "unlike you."

"Alexandria," my aunt hisses. I glance over and she is glaring daggers at me. "Apologise." I stare straight at her, she knows that I won't, "Now!"

"Why should I?" I ask her. "He was being a dick."

"Alexandria Rose Black, you will apologise this instant," she says, using the voice that every mother has. The one where if you're misbehaving, they lean down and then you straighten up because you know that you have to.

I keep my mouth shut, not saying anything to her or the principal.

"I will not," Principal Willex says, anger lacing his voice. "And I mean will not tolerate any foul language in my school."

"Give me my schedule and you won't have to," I mutter.

He gives me a glare and looks through the pile of papers he has in his hand. A few seconds later, he hands me a small stack of papers.

I take a few steps before I get pulled back. My aunt's arms are wrapped around me. In my ear, she hisses, "You and I are going to have a talk when you get home."

I pull away and nod once. Not wanting to listen to the two talk anymore, I walk down the hallway while flipping through the papers. The top paper he gave me has my classes. On it, is a yellow sticky note that has my locker information. Under it, is a page that has the school layout, showing where everything is. And lastly is a stack of papers that are stapled together, the first page informs me that it is the school rules.

I pause in the middle of the hallway to look at my locker info and my classes. I read over the sticky note.

Locker #2182

Combination: 12-07-20

"Damn, that's a lot of fucking lockers," I mutter to my self.

I shake my head and look at my class schedule. The top of the page has my personal information while most of the page has my classes.
