The Millenium Falcon soared away from the dusty planet. After dropping off supplies for a Rebel Cell there, Han Solo could finally take his First Mate, Chewbacca back for Life Day on Kashyyyk.
<We are running late, Han!> Chewie growled, as Han leaned back to pull a switch to stabilize the bucking ship. Han was about to reply that he was doing the best he could, when twi Imperial Stardestroyers shot into few on the opposite side of the planet. Karking Imps!
Two blasts from either ship hammered down on them, soaring through space, and hammering their ship! The ship rocked, but luckily the shields held. For now anyways.
A torrent of more green bolts blazed through space, jolting the two friends in their seats. Han gulped looking at the scanners. Things were not looking good as the Destroyers closed in for the kill. They knew that Han and Chewie had been working with the Rebels and were intent on obliterating them.
"That's it! I'm turning back." Han said angrily as more bolts pounded the fastest ship in the galaxy.
<Han!> Chewie immediately grumbled, <It's Life Day! It comes once every three years! My family is waiting for me!> The Wookie looked over at Han in anger.
"I know your family's waiting." Han grumbled without looking up from the controls. The Destroyers missed the sip by a hair with another torrent of bolts.
<Life Day is very important!> Chewie growled again, showing his big Wookie teeth.
Han looked up growing angrier by the second, "I know it's an important day!"
Chewie mumbled back, <Han Solo! It is more than a special day for us! It is everything!" Han's head snapped around and he was about to retort once more when several more bolts rocked the ship. My generous nature is gonna get me killed!
"Alright, I'll give it a try!" Han mumbled to where Chewie could barely hear him. Han continued, "Chewie, plug in the coordinates, we'll try and make the jump! I'll get ya back home in time pal, trust me!"
Chewbacca's delight was easy to see as he reached a big furry arm around Han's shoulders in a brief hug, <Thank you, Han!>
The Destroyers honed in again and a torrent of green energy trailed the freighter, skimming its underbelly!
"Our only hope now is to outrun that Imperial Garbage Scouter! I'm preparing the jump to lightspeed!" Han muttered pulling switches and turning dials.
<That Garbage Scouter never seen a ship like the Falcon!> Chewie growled as he pushed a knob and then clicked a button.
"That's the spirit!" Han cried, "You'll be home in no time and celebrating Life Day before you know it!" Han pushed one more button, and added, "Stand by as we say goodbye to our unpleasant friends!"
He pulled back the Hyperspace igniter and the stars blurred. Han watched amazed every time as the stars become white lines in the sky!
The Millenium Falcon soared away leaving the Star Destroyers to eat space dust!
