Chapter 5
~Zayden~
"Zayden! Zayden get up!"
I opened my eyes as a small body landed on me and a mouth started to teeth my hand. I looked down and laughed as I saw my 10 year-old cousin nibble my hand. She just got her 'adult fangs' and it gets freaking annoying. I smirked as I faded through the bed and reappeared on the opposite side of the room.
"Not fair!" Reagan squealed, putting her hands on her small hips.
I put my hands on my hips, mimicking her and said back in a chick voice. "Uh, it's like, so like, far. You know." I dramatically rolled my eyes at the end and headed towards my closet.
Reagan was my only cousin and I considered her as a little sister. Then that means I'm the overprotective brother. I rubbed the spot where she had teethed and grimaced, I could feel an open cut. Here is the thing about me as a ghost; I never know when my ghost self wants to bleed. Sometimes it's great and sometimes I wish I was slightly normal.
I picked up a pair of pants and smelled them, it smelled okay. I took off my shirt and throw it at Reagan, covering her eyes. I quickly changed and raced Reagan to the kitchen and smirked when she tripped over the last stair.
She glared at me.

I knew something was off the second I walked into weaponry class. No one was there and I instantly dropped my backpack. It was the end of the day and I was tired. I don't want any crap. I ran my hand through my hair and sighed.
Ever since last night I have been so tensed about the kiss. Whenever I saw Calley in the halls I would blend into the shadows and walk away from her. I know it doesn't mean anything, but it just did. Right now my only super big worry was if she saw my hand. If she did that means I'm in deep shit.
I rubbed a hand over my face and picked up a dagger. Blah, arrows are better. I made a swift move with my left hand as the dagger sliced the air. This will do. I heard a soft step near the swords and chuckled. Trust me no one can hide from me.
I did a turn and throw the dagger, making sure my aim was slightly off. It missed the guys head my millimeters. He squeaked and shape shifted into a bird and flow out the open window. Alright wants going on. I turned around and right there was Calley with a sword in her right hand and locking the door with her left.
That's when everyone started to come out of their hiding places. I laughed and said,"what is this? Ganging up on me are you?"
That's when this Elve dude took his first step and swung a sword. I dodged it and brought my hand up and hit him where all Elves had a soft spot, inside of their elbow. I hit it hard and he hissed and fell to floor.
I ran over and grabbed my dagger from the wall and that's when all hell broke loss. I dodged and gave people minor cuts, nothing that big. Alright? I am a nice dude if you don't swing a damn sword in my face. The only thing I was focused on was Calley. She was smirking and watching the show.
The said show was these three cheerleaders attacking me and the could bend and do stuff like they are made of elastic. You know for the movie 'The Incredibles?' No? Okay, that's fine. They were the first girls and I don't punch girls. So I grabbed an arm of the blonde one and twisting it into a knot with the brunettes' leg. The redhead screamed at what happened with her fellow cheerleaders and ran out of the room.
I looked around and my eyes landed on two people Calley and another girl. I was barely breathing hard and I wasn't even trying. That's best they can do? Humans fight better then this, sadly. I smirked as I twirled the dagger swiftly in my left hand.
When I was younger I used to be amazing with my right and sucked at my left. Then when I was eleven I had to get surgery on my hand, because I broke almost every bone in my hand. I thought I was getting good at going through objects so I had this Warlock drop a fifty pound block onto my hand. It got crushed.
Now it was vice versa now. Great with the left, crap at the right.
I stepped forward and spoke, "is that the best? I expected better from you Calley? You know, because your eyes glare with a flame. I guess that is only my imagination."
Her eyes were beautiful, even if they are red. Still beautiful. I knew I hit a nerve the second she pushed her friend back and shape shifted into a panther, dropping the sword. She leaped towards me and I dropped the dagger and tackled her to the ground.
She tried to wiggle out from under me and I sneered. "Listen, I'm tired and I don't get why your doing this. But stop with the childish games."
It was weird talking to her in her animal form. To tell you the truth I might of looked crazy if a human saw this. I got up and walked out of the room leaving her friend shocked.
I might like her; but I honestly don't understand why she did that.
*****
Alright I was on a writing craze and decided to write this chapter. My co-author was being a pain at school and then I had stupid boy drama. *cough* COLLIN *cough*. I honestly don't like him, jeez. Anyways, hope you like the chapter!
