Author's Note: There's a reason the story is called what it is. Just keep that in mind with this chapter.

Both Lazarus and Martha turn their focus to Taylor. There's a long silence between the three of them.

"What the hell are you doing?" Lazarus questions, angrily.

"I told you... fulfilling my destiny." suggests Taylor.

The door locks behind Lazarus and he and Martha look at each other.

"By killing both of us?" Martha says, clearly concerned.

Taylor looks towards Martha, smiling.

"Not both of you."

Taylor starts making his way towards Martha. Lazarus struggles to close the growing gap between him and Taylor. Martha starts backing away, not able to make her way to Lazarus without putting herself in danger.

"You leave her alone." Lazarus tries to threaten.

"I told you, I can't." Taylor says as he continues to slowly make his way towards Martha.

"But, why now? I've been in here forever..." Martha tries.

"12 hours." Lazarus helps, trying his best to keep up.

"You could've done it while I was out. Why now?" Martha continues, increasingly worried.

"I was waiting for him." explains Taylor.

"Well..." Lazarus starts, lifting his cane and walking just fine before rushing him, "I'm here now."

Taylor turns to Lazarus as he charges. With Taylor distracted, Martha grabs him from behind, wrapping her arms around him. Taylor lashes out, swiping the knife at Lazarus as Martha tries to pull him off his feet. It keeps Lazarus back.

"Stop! This isn't..." Taylor tries.

"That's supposed to be my line." Martha pushes back, struggling with him as she speaks.

Lazarus tries to swing his cane at Taylor, but at the last moment Taylor turns, putting Martha between him and the cane. Martha cries out as Lazarus hits her with the cane, making her let go of Taylor. The knife slices at Lazarus, forcing him to back off as it hits him.

Taylor turns to Martha and tries to stab her. She manages to deflect the first, block the second attempt, but the third one cuts into her, as does the fourth. He turns to swipe at Lazarus, keeping him back. When Martha tries to attack him from behind while he's distracted, Taylor turns and stabs her deep in the gut.

"No!" Lazarus yells at the tragedy in front of him.

He charges Taylor as they pull the knife out of Martha and pushes himself up against the wall, holding him there with the cane. Taylor just smiles back.

"How could you? This wasn't her destiny, and you know that." Lazarus yells.

"Are you going to keep holding me or are you going to try and save your sister?"

Lazarus looks at his sister, blood staining her clothes more and more as the seconds tick by, then back at Taylor. After a moment, he lets go of Taylor and leans down to cover his sister's wound. Just then, there's knocking on the door.

"Let's get in there." Elias says from the other side of the door.

The other cops on the other end use the battering ram to pound on the door.

"Russ..." Martha tries weakly as she bleeds.

"Don't talk. You'll bleed faster."

"Lazarus..." Martha tries again, "Don't..."

"Sssh, they're coming."

"Don't... take... revenge..." insists Martha, getting weaker as she speaks.

"What are you talking about? He's trapped in a locked room with us. Of course I'm going to..." Lazarus says, looking up to find out where Taylor is, and not finding him, "Where the hell did he go?"

"Hey..." says Martha, getting his attention back, "Be... the better... person."

"Martha... I..." Lazarus starts.

Martha collapses, taking her last breath.
