Chapter 20: Sigh

*Niall's POV*

"Oi! Took you long enough!" Harry hoffed as he jogged towards me. I just entered the hotel lobby and saw the others ( Liam, Louis, Zayn, Kaidi, Hazel and Ashley) on the lounging area, waiting.

"Yeah, where have you been, mate?" Zayn called over to me. Everyone looked up.

"Oh you know, did a bit of a walk." i replied and gave out a small smile. I scanned the room. Where was Nicole? Almost an hour has passed since the 'talk' with Jake and she's still not here?

"OH MY GOD." Kaidi's jaw dropped. All of us turned to look at her. What was her problem now?

"What's wrong, babe?" Harry asked curiously. And he was speaking for all of us, Ill bet.

"What date is it today??" Kaidi asked frantically. I looked at Hazel, hoping she would know the reason why Kaidi was acting this way but she just shrugged.

"Uh.... it's the 26th .... why?" Harry replied slowly. Jeez, just say it already, don't keep us waiting. I thought.

"It's Nicole's 18th birthday on the 29th and I have no gift whatsoever for her yet." Kaidi's voice shook and she turned pale.

My jaw dropped, my mind raised and my breathing quickened. "Fuck." I cursed, " Why didn't anyone tell me??"

*Zayn's POV*

After about an hour and a half of talking... or should I say plotting with Niall, Louis, Liam,Harry, Kaidi, Ashley and Hazel, we headed for the elevator. We planned a surprise birthday celebration for Nicole, and I love surprising my friends! Just seeing the look on their faces when we yell "SURPRISE!!", priceless!

I dunno why but i think Niall fancies Nicole.. that couldn't be, though, right? Cause, for all I know, Nicole had a boyfriend. Which... she should be dumping at this very moment. (I hope she does)

It's crazy how a single night could change everything. First they were just simple fans, and now? Well... I would want to say 'more than friends' but....

And then my phone vibrated.

I fished my phone out of my pocket and opened the text,

From: Perrie E.

Message:

Hello Zayn! Are you free for brunch tomorrow at say... 10am? Love, Perrie xxx

I groaned. Perrie has been bugging me since who knew when. She's nice and all but it is getting in my nerves. Even the tabloids think we're seeing each other.

"What're you groaning about?" Hazel asked, suddenly popping beside me. I jumped, startled at her voice.

"Um... nothing." I didn't want to tell her about Perrie. I don't want Hazel getting the wrong idea. Someone suddenly ran past me and got my phone. Irritated as hell, I turned to see who it was.

"Eh, you got a date, Malik?" Niall asked, his eyebrows raising, "I thought you and Perrie were just friends?"

"YOU HAVE A DATE WITH PERRIE EDWARDS?" Louis screeched, I tentatively placed my hands on my ears because his voice hurt my ear. 

I couldn't look at Hazel. She was just watching us all, Kaidi and Harry and Ashley joining in the argument.

"THIS IS CRAZY!"

"I can't believe you haven't told us! We're your best mates!!!"

"WOULD YOU ALL CALM DOWN?!"  I shouted, "please."

"Still can't believe you didn't tell us." Louis pouted. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Listen, we're not dating okay. We're not." I sighed. Louis was starting to say something else when I cut him off.  "No, Lou. We're not dating. Perrie's just asking me to have brunch with her. Besides, I wasn't even gonna say yes." 

"You can't do that." Hazel suddenly spoke up in a small voice. Everyone turned to look at her. "It's kind of rude to reject a girl."

"But..." I groaned. Now what on earth is Hazel thinking now? What if she thinks I'm really dating Perrie? Ugh. This is gonna ruin everything! And I was planning to tell her that I like her before the night ends. Jesus.

Niall is such an ass.

"Fine." I sighed again and got my phone from the obnoxious leprechaun. I started texting Perrie. 

Hello, Perrie. Yes, I'm free tomorrow morning. See you then. :)

I stared at the text before sending. I think it sounds a bit flirty. 

Thank you for being a good friend. :)

I reread the text and smiled at the addition and hit send. 

We all continued walking towards the elevator when-

"Ow!" Louis screeched for the second time tonight. We looked back to see him sitting at the ground, holding his ankle with a sour look on his face.

"Oh my God, Boo, what happened?" Harry started running to his side. What on earth happened to Louis now?

"I tripped and fell on the wrong foot." Louis pouted at Harry, "It hurts, Haz. My ankle hurts" 

"What's happening here??" we turned to see where the voice came from. Oops.

"Paul, Louis..." I started to say but my voice trailed off.

"Louis what? What happened?"

"He tripped and I think he sprained his ankle.." Harry answered Paul's question without leaving his eyes off of Louis as he examined the bad ankle.

"WHAT?!"  Paul asked with an irritated look on his face. He walked towards Harry. I looked over at Kaidi, Hazel and Ashley. They obviously haven't seen Paul irritated yet.

But we have. So many times. And it would normally be because of Lou. Whenever he decided to try and prank someone on the bus whilst on tour. I remember that fruit fight.... I shook my head and chuckled at the memory.

"Can you walk, mate?" Niall asked as he crouched over Louis.

"i... I think so..." Lou replied. He started to stand up but failed miserably as he fell on the floor. Howling in pain. Again.

"JESUS!!" Harry cried out, irritation clearly heard in his voice. Nonetheless, he still came rushing to Louis' aid. If Louis didn't have Eleanor and Harry isn't such a flirt, I would assume that they are inlove with each other. Seriously inlove with each other.

Paul shook his head and face palmed. "You boys go get Louis to your room. I'll be giving Simon a ring." he groaned.

Harry and Niall helped Lou get to his feet so could walk- er.. limp. I shook my head as I pressed the elevator button that points up. "What is Simon gonna say?"

"What are management gonna say?" Niall looked at us, panicking a bit. Oh right, management. Jesus, I don't want to get grounded again.

"So." Hazel said, popping yet again to my side. 

I smiled and said, "Yes?"

"Say hi to Perrie for me." she whispered and walked away with Kaidi and Ashley by her side.

Oh dear God.

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry i know the last time I updated was two months ago! And it's all my fault I forgot what I was writing about! Anyways, this is just a filler chapter okay, so forgive me. I;m working on the next chapter ANNNNDDD it's almost christmas break!! which means i get to write more.
