Violetta Castillo: An independent, 21 year old woman who ran away from home at the age of 17 . She lives alone in Manhattan, and does part-time jobs to support her college education. She is good friends with Camila. She meets Leon Vargas, a shy geek, who she falls in love with.

Leon Vargas: A handsome but geeky 22 year old man who grew up in Manhattan. He is a typical shy, software-developer nerd, and has the most boring life ever. His only friend is his dog. But then he meets Violetta, who he falls in love with. She changes his life forever.

Francesca Caviglia: A starry-eyed Italian who moved from Rome to Manhattan when she was 18 to pursue her dreams of going to filmmaking school. She is now 21. Her best friend is Federico, who goes to film school with her.

Diego Hernandez: An obnoxious 22 year old rockstar who meets Francesca while on tour in New York. He is totally badass. He is in a high-profile relationship with fellow musician Ludmila Ferro. He falls in love with Francesca.

Ludmila Ferro: She is a 21 year old pop princess with a heart of steel. She is in a high-profile relationship with fellow musician Diego Hernandez. She is a diva. She meets Federico while on tour with her boyfriend in New York. She falls in love with him.

Federico *insert last name here* : He is a street smart Italian who goes to filmmaking school with Francesca. He meets Ludmila while she's on tour in the city. He is good friends with Leon as well.

Camila Torres: She is a kind, sweet, 21 year old woman who teaches part time in an elementary school. She is good friends with Violetta. She has a one- year old son named Nico. She meets Maxi, the father of her child, in a restaurant, but she doesn't realize it's him.

Maxi Ponte: He is a 22 year old man who works as a waiter at a restaurant. He meets Camila at work, but he has no idea that she is the mother of his child, neither does he know about the existence of his son.
