Lazarus crouches down near the blood of his sister in the room where she died. Around him, CSI techs are working the scene while Lazarus silently looks at the rather large amount of blood. Slowly, he reaches out to touch it."Don't do that." a voice declares from behind him.
Lazarus stops, looking back at the person.
"Leave me alone John." Lazarus says, annoyed.
"We haven't fully processed the blood. If you want to contaminate it and make sure we'll never lock up Morley, go ahead." John responds.
Lazarus takes a few moments, considering the idea, before ultimately pulling back and standing up.
"You're not supposed to be here Russ." John insists.
Lazarus turns to John, "Neither was my sister."
That makes John pause, uncertain what to say. After the silence goes on for a while, Lazarus moves past him and looks over what the CSI techs are doing. He walks over behind the tech who is on the floor.
"What's that?" he asks as he heads over to a place just outside the tech's working area.
"Not sure, I haven't gotten to it yet." the tech explains.
Lazarus holds out his hand to the tech as he keeps his eyes on the groove in the floor, "Hand me some gloves."
The tech pulls out some gloves and hands them to Lazarus, who immediately puts them on. He reaches down and tries to move it. There's a click and then another. Lazarus, John and the techs all suddenly freeze, looking around to see what clicked. Eventually, Lazarus sees something.
"There..." Lazarus declares, making his way towards the single, large reinforced door.
He pulls the reinforced door out and as he does, the wall behind it opens up slightly. Lazarus examines the opening, seeing if it's safe.
"Russ, maybe you shouldn't..." John tries before Lazarus ignores him, going inside, "Damn it. Let's check this out guys."
John follows Lazarus in as the CSI techs under his command move to deal with the new information. He only gets a few steps before he finds Lazarus crouching in the secret hallway.
"What is it?" John wonders as he approaches slowly.
When he gets close, Lazarus stands up and turns holding a strip of white cloth.
"Was that...?" begins John, but Lazarus shoulder checks him as he goes back where he entered.
John looks where Lazarus was crouched, seeing no other evidence, then following him. Lazarus moves to the exit through the reinforced door. He makes his way back to the main church, looking at the altar. After a few moments, he looks down at the white cloth in his hand, then up at Jesus on the cross, then back to the cloth.
John comes up behind Lazarus.
He hands the cloth to John, "Bag that for me, will you?"
"Sure, what are you...?" John tries as he takes it but Lazarus walks off, not paying attention.
