"Well, these are the coordinates your grandfather gave us. Do you think we're in the right place?" Rey asked, looking out into the empty void of space.
"This is it." Ben nodded, leaning over the navicomputer.
"Do you see anything?"
"No." he responded.
Rey continued to stare out the viewport. Her eyes searched every distant star, every inch of the black expanse, as if she could somehow will Mortis into existence.
Nothing but black on black on black.
Her fist came down on the controls, "There's nothing here! We're so cl-"
"Rey, Rey." Ben grabbed a hold of her shoulders, "Do you feel that?"
"Feel what?" Rey's frustration dissolved in an instant.
Then she noticed. Ever so slightly, the ship trembled beneath them. She had just finished running a diagnostic when the power shut off completely.
Shocked, she leapt out of her seat, "Ben! We're being attacked!"
He caught her arm with his hand, "No. We're not, look!"
Right where Rey had been staring before, floated a huge black prism. Even with failed systems, their ship continued gravitating towards it.
"You better sit down. I think this is going to be an exciting landing." Ben smirked.
Rey did as he suggested, lucky enough to have sat down before the first violent jerk of the ship. It jerked again and again, gradually growing faster and faster in its descent toward the surface below. White light began to spew from the prism, so bright that Ben and Rey had to throw their arms up over their faces.
Still they continued to go faster, drawn into the white light. They continued on until they couldn't see, hear, or feel. It was like being lulled into a deep sleep with no dreams.
Rey's head dipped to her chest, Ben, a replica at her side.

Sunlight blinded Rey as soon as she opened her eyes. Ben still dozed beside her, head cocked back against the seat.
Miraculously, the ship had somehow come to a peaceful rest after losing power and falling from the atmosphere.
The planet outside was exactly like Anakin had described it, unlike any other. The flora was more diverse than any Rey had seen before, though she had only seen few.
Hastily, she shook Ben awake.
"Ben! Ben, we're here!"
The man stirred with a jump. He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair as soon as he saw it was her.
"What happened?"
"We're here, Mortis. Come on, quickly, before the siblings get up."
"They've left by now," he got up, "Remember? They get all their powers here."
Rey reached into the Force, "I can't sense them."
"No time to waste then, let's go." he grabbed her hand and led her outside.
Outside of the ship, the planet seemed even weirder. It was completely silent as if nothing lived there.
But the feeling that they both got as they stepped upon the ground was completely the opposite. The Force was stronger than a tidal wave crashing around them, pulling them in different directions. Each could feel the dissonance in the Force.
