A/n: Some of the event won't go with the actual history of the Beatles, but hey it's my imagination and I literally tried my best researching their history for this. And the first three chapters are the information we really need for this fanfic so be patient and get ready to meet them! xoxo ;)
This story depicts the reason behind the song Yesterday, as in the title. I know the melody of the song came to Paull in his dreams and wrote the lyrics later, and it was done out of pure talent and art. I just want to shower it with some love and affection so that we may feel the nostalgic tone in the song, although we already do. The song itself has a sweet melancholy that makes us recall the past, and sometimes mourn, and I let my imagination flow in in this story. What if there was someone he wrote the song for? It possesses the magical love story between the two lovers who fell in love with each other during the very limited time they were given.
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
One blessed morning, Katherine Andrews woke up to see the bright rays of the sun falling upon her skin, the warmth made her soft like the other days but the day was not going to be the same. The warm sentiment soon faded away as her head felt heavy and her eyes were swollen, making it hard to open her eyes. She got up and unwillingly looked at herself in the mirror; her eyes were puffy and swollen. She had cried the night before, she wanted to fall back into a deep sleep and never wake up again, like there was no tomorrow. Her strength to hold on was waning and she didn't want to live like that anymore, she wanted to let go of everything. She had no one.
She just sat there, unable to stop her tears from falling down. Going to school was more challenging than staying at home. No one will understand how depressing high school can get. She had to be perfect; no matter how hard she tried all everyone did was mocking her. Not so keyed up. Kate wiped her tears away and prepared to get ready for the upcoming day. She used makeup to cover her dark circles and went downstairs for breakfast.
'Kate darling, here's your breakfast,' said Lily Andrews who was standing near the kitchen counter, 'What's wrong with your eyes Kate, they're all red?'
Arthur, Kate's father was eating his breakfast too and looked up at Kate after her mother's comment.
'Nothing mom, everything's fine. I stayed up a little late last night,' she said and ate her food quickly to stop her mom from asking her more questions.
'It's better not to make it a habit unless you are studying, all right?'
'Okay dad.'
After a while, a slender male entered the kitchen rubbing his messy hair, yawning. He had a pale skin and a perfect black hair unlike Kate's which was dark brownish. Kate's brother was a year older than her and they were like cats and dogs, like every other siblings, but he was protective of her, sometimes too protective.
'Did you stay up late again Blake?' Arthur asked.
'Probably playing video games.' Kate blurted.
'Shut up Katherine or I will tell dad why your marks are falling.' he mumbled as he sat next to her, 'She's got a boyfriend, our neighbor Ralph, the one with the flowers.'
'You liar!' Kate loathed the guy, he once gave her a bouquet but they later learned that it was picked from her mother's garden. 'Mom!' she called in defense.
'Stop it Blake, eat up,' said Lily.
The breakfast was warm and cheerful as always and Kate felt a little better, but only a little for she was however trapped inside a cage and she dared not say a single thing about her problems. It was not in her nature to open up unless the people are willing to and show that they care, but she hadn't met a single person.
