"Ginger! Are you ready? We're running late!" I screamed as I started the engine.
"Yeah, just a second!" Ginger said.
Our aunt/guardian, Judith, spends most of her time with Robert, her fiancé, so we were quite on our own most of the time.
"Ginger! Grab your stuff already and get into the car!" I screamed angrily.
This year's supposed to be as good as possible. I don't wanna say that it was good to break-up with Matt last year but I feel relieved to know that I am no longer forced to stay by his side.
Our parents said we owe to find out what we feel for each other. Matt has been in love with me, but I clearly wasn't and I didn't want him to be heartbroken. But after my parents died, I had to deal with many things and It was just too much, so I broke-up with him. I couldn't keep the relationship going on, and besides, I felt way too guilty.
My thoughts were interrupted by my sister's voice as she got into the car and said "Start driving."
I shook my head after I gazed into space thinking about it all. "New
year, new life I guess." I thought out loud and started to drive.
"You ok?" she asked.
"Yeah yeah.." I answered dully.
"It's just.. I don't really feel like going anymore after all that, but I can't just skip school." I said.
"Life is packed full of suprises. Someday, it won't be like this anymore and I will forget about the bad things."
"You're right, sister dear. I'm glad to have you." Ginger smiled. She can be so kind an lovely if she wants to.
We finally arrived at school, and I parked my car, got out and and walked with Ginger pass the folkhav. Everyone seemed to stare at us, we were popular but after the event of the past few months we withdrew ourselves.
But I still have 2 wonderful friends, Bonnie and Meredith.
Caroline used to be my best friend too but she started to think that our friendship is a competition. She's jealous of my popularity and my friends. I enjoyed our friendship but she changed a alot since she started to hang out with Vici.
I walked to the lockers where Meredith and Bonnie stood. As I started to talk, a mysterious boy walked in and everyone held their breaths.
