Chapter One: The First Day Of School

"But Mama I don't wanna go!" Says Cassie Stevens whose Mom is attempting to put a shirt on her little girl, " Sweetie, just imagine all the new friends your going to make!" Says the mother trying to encourage her daughter to be excited for her first day. "But I'll miss you and daddy! I dont want you to forget me!" Says Cassie almost in tears, the mom laughs a little "I promise we will never forget you," She kisses Cassie on the forehead, "Now go downstairs, Daddy made breakfast." Cassie smiles a cheeky smile, "Yay! I love daddy's food!" Cassie goes downstairs in a yellow shirt a pink sweater and a pink sparkly skirt. "Woah, whose the princess over there?"
The dad says flipping pancakes. Cassie giggles, "It's me daddy!" After Breakfast They all got in the car and drove to pre school. At the school they were greeted by the teacher Mrs. Kay. Cassie was greeted by a colorful room surrounded by playing children. The parents were telling the teacher about how social and outgoing she was, but as they were describing her she was drawn into the corner, and was talking to nobody. The mother was worried the rumors she read in the newspaper were true, she had read about how the same pre school burnt down and with a student inside.
