I woke up to the sound of a loud banging on the door. I blinked twice and noticed that I was on the ground. I got up from the ground, fixed my crooked glasses into position and looked around. My house looked like it was robbed. I stood there frozen, wondering what happened the night before. I could not remember a thing from the previous night. Suddenly, someone banged on the door once again, "This is the police, open up now!" a voice followed. I made my way to the door as fast as I could, and on my way to the door, I looked down and noticed that a part of the floor was wet. I didn't have the time to find out what had made it wet so I ran to the door before there was another bang on it. I opened the door to see a cop around 6 feet 3 inches tall, dark skin and an intimidating mustache above his lips which made him look more sincere than he would ever be.

"Are you Michael Crimson?" he said to me. There was an awkward and silent moment because I was trying to remember if I met any new people the day before.

Before he asked again, I answered "No, I don't know who you are talking about."

He looked inside the house and said, "May I come in?"

"Officer, am I in trouble or something?" I asked because I was afraid that we had got drunk and had called the cops for fun the previous night. The cop said, "There's nothing to worry about, I just have some questions for Michael. We got reports that he had been spotted at this place last night. Was he here by any chance?"

"I am not aware of having anyone over last night, officer." I said, trying to remember something from the previous night. The cop said, "The reports said that you guys were making a huge racket all night last night."

I tried to remember something but I could not remember a thing so I said to the cop, "I don't know what you're talking about and I don't know who this Michael is. What did he do? What did we do?"

"I will have to search the house then." He said as he tried to walk inside the house. I refused to let him in and said, "Seriously, what happened? What did we do?" The cop sighed and said, "You didn't do anything wrong, I just need to have a word with Michael. You see, Michael is a drug dealer and he had been behind bars for almost a year now, but he had broken out of prison yesterday morning and he was last seen at your house. So if you would please let me in, it would go on much easier or else you might get yourself in trouble young man." I was shocked that a prison break drug dealer had been inside my house. I let the cop inside the house and said, "Sir, I'm just going to stay out here if that's okay." as I walked out of the door.

The cop looked at me and said, "That's fine. You could get him if he tries to run away. Could you?" I've never been more scared. Imagine if a prison break drug dealer came to me with a knife or a gun, I would literally die of heart attack before anything could happen. So I said, "I think that would be too much for a teenager like me to do."

The cop smiled and said, "Really? That would be too much?"

"Well, I'm just a teenager. I don't have the strength to take him down or anything like that." I said. I felt so ashamed of myself at that moment.

The cop said, "I was just kidding. You'll be fine. Nothing will happen."

"So you didn't bring backup?" I asked him, worried about my safety. He laughed and said, "All I need to do is convince him to come back to the police station for interrogation. Even if he resists or try to run away, I'll be able to get him by myself. I have been doing this for over ten years, so don't worry."

I was still not sure if he could get him by himself because if he had been doing that for over ten years, then he was not the man that he was ten years earlier. But his confidence was appalling to me so I let him go.
