Four (Deliliahs POV)

I am reading to Kevin when the car stops and turns off. I look up and see we are at McDonalds. Kevin looks up and starts bouncing in his seat. I put the book down next to me. I watch David climb out, then he turns and extends his hand to me. I except it and let him help me out. Kevin bounces out of the car. We all walk towards the door. David opens the door and both him and a Kevin stand there. I walk inside followed by Kevin then David. We walk up to the counter and the lady looks past me at David. "How can I help you sir?" She asks him.
"Delilah ladies first." He says putting his hand on the small of my back.
"Ten piece chicken nuggets and a Diet Coke." I tell her.
"And for you sir?"
"Kevin tell the lady what you want." He says looking down at him.
"Chicken nugget big kids meal, with a yogurt and a white milk."
"I will have a twenty piece nugget meal, and a sweet tea." He tells her before she can ask him again. Then he swipes a card to pay, and takes the table marker. "Let's go find some seats." He says leading me by the small of my back.
"Can we sit close to the play place?" Kevin asks.
"We can go out and sit at one of the tables out there." He tells him, leading the way. We get outside and Kevin takes off to the climbing toy. "Be carful and stay where we can see you." He yells at him. We watch him nod his head. "Tell me a bit about yourself." He says to me.
"Not much to tell. Was raised in foster homes, graduated from OSU with a major in child care. Work for Babysitters Inc."
"Not anymore, when you were hired to care for Kevin I took over on your contract with them. You work solely for me now." I look at him. "I can not have you answering to anyone outside of my household." He says before the door opens.
"Here you are sir." I hear the girl say.
"Just sit it down and go." He tells her without looking away from me. "Kevin come and eat." He says, Kevin runs up and sits next to me. We eat our food and leave. We get back out to the car and Kevin picks up my book and starts looking through it. I see him stop on a page and start reading.
"What are you reading there?" I ask him.
"Annabel Lee." He tells me then starts reading again.
"Come over here next to me and we will continue our conversation." David says to me. I slide across to the seat he is in, and watch Kevin stretch out on the other seat.  "As I said there. You will answer to me alone." He says, I nod my head. "At the house there will be other men. If they try anything tell them you will tell me." He says before his phone rings. "Mecha, de quoi avez-vous besoin? Merci." He says then hangs up. "You things are in your room waiting for you to go through."
"Je parle Français." I tell him.
"Good you can help Kevin learn it." He says as the car stops and the engine shuts off. He opens the door and climbs out. Then extends his hand for me. I take it and he pulls me out. Kevin follows behind me. "Kevin, she needs her book back."
"If he wants to borrow it for the night he can." I tell him. "Give him something good to read at bedtime."
"Just don't mess it up." He tells him. Kevin runs up and gives me a hug. Then he runs inside. "I think he likes you."
"You don't say." I say as I follow him inside. I follow him up the stairs and he shows me to a door. I open it and see a queen size bed in the middle of the room. With my boxes spread out in the room. I go inside and see a dresser and four other doors.
"This one goes to Kevin's room, the one across from it goes to my room. The first door inside the room is your closet, the one next to it is your personal bathroom. Did you want a tour of the place now or after you get everything put away?"
"Might as well get it out of the way. So I can put my things up then see what Kevin needs." I tell him. He nods his head and walks out. I follow behind him.
He opens his door and walks inside. "This is my room. Not much to see in here. Let's go to Kevin's room. His room is the one you need to know." He says opening the door between our rooms. We walk through my room and he opens the other door. "He knows about this, but you need to be aware of it as well. There is a secret room in here. Come into his closet." I follow him inside, and watch him open a box on the wall. "If I am not home and someone enters the house without permission, you need to get him up here and both of you get inside. Once you close the door it will alert me through my phone and the door locks. No one but me can open it."
